Well, the game does take place a year later, and it does say that Vaan has his own ship and Penelo is his navigator. I'll have to take a look at the trailer again when i get home.

I dont think, the game is not a sequel or anything. Is more like a "entry-level FF". Is the same game just for a new audience, meaning a easy mode for the FF XII for PS2.

The game is not a sequal nor a prequal, and the ony real relation is that there is Vaan and Penelo in it. They are making it simplar, for people who haven't played FF games before. It is not the same game. In RW, Vaan is a year older than in FF XII, and has his own airship with Penelo as his navigator.

Yup like Square have said it's not a sequel but it's own game which has obvious ties to ffxii.

Um.. yeah... Vaan's really going to be able to hold onto an airship with one hand, with the weight of Penelo on him and with the airship taking off at high speeds... almost reminds me of Cloud being able to throw Tifa up onto the collapsing ledge in the North Crator, single handedly. >_>;

I just finished XII today and went straight to youtube to watch the RW opening and it starts RIGHT when XII finishes. I think it's good that half of the main characters changed clothes, it's stupid when there's a sequel and there still wearing the same clothes more than a year later!
