Armor

Based on how the Size Matters armor system ran (if you haven't seen it, basically you get pieces of armor rather than the whole suit, then you combine the pieces and certain combinations produce special effects- for example, having a certain helmet, and another type of boots, gloves, and suit gives your wrench a sort of defensive ability when you hyper strike, ice comes up from the ground which can be used as cover) and how it ran in the PS2 games, you bought armor and couldn't change it unless you bought a new piece. This made me really mad, since Ratchet was stuck in the Infernox armor and I never saw his face again I'd much prefer if they made it so that you could buy armor in a full set, but switch the armor sets as you liked the look of them

re: Armor

i agree that would be awsome and i didnt like the idea of buying armour cuz i usaly spend my money on weapons.i like the idea of finding the armour and customizing it.

re: Armor

I have suggested this in past R&C forums, and I still love the idea. This would be a lot better than getting full suits periodically, that just beef defence. It would also add a lot to the customization of Ratchet.

re: Armor

I haven't played Size Matters, but I'm not liking the sound of that armor system.
I just hope the best armor won't have a helmet. Either that or have the Classic Ratchet skin available.

re: Armor

What is the Size Matters armor system about?

I know what you mean. Part of me does not want armor at all, because I really want to just play as Ratchet, the one we had in the first game. If they do have armors, there will most likely be a Classic skin.

re: Armor

they should make planet specific armor so tht if u go to a col plantet u need a certain armor to be able to stand it and then have them upgrade to be more and more damage resistant

re: Armor

I want armor, but as long as I can switch inbetween the armor and not be stuck with the final armor.

re: Armor

Since my last description wasn't too clear, let me give examples.

In Size Matters, you walk around the planets and you'll find say the Wildfire gloves somewhere. There are different components to your armor (gloves, boots, helmet, and suit). You can combine different types of armor (Say you have Wildfire Gloves and Sludge Mk. 9 helmet and Crystallix boots and Hyperborean Suit) and that will give you some unmatching armor.

HOWEVER, if you make certain combinations (all Widlfire, for example) your wrench attack will be more powerful, and it will have some added visual effect (it will be flaming, in the obvious case of Wildfire)

re: Armor

I don't know about you guys but that sounds like a good armor system. Hopefully instead of just finding them we can do missions for them and buy off some alien who stole them.
