For most special weapons, I'd reccommend that you just stockpile them until you really need them. The only real acception to this reccommendation, in my mind, is the Nuke. When you pick that up, just fire it and get away! Unless, of course, you have infinite health. If you have that, just park on top of the nuke.

Another good weapon to use right away is the cloaking device. You never know when it might come in handy.

If you use a nuke, go underground or you are dead! The nuke destroys everthing! And its not that easy finding the underground in time before the nuke goes off.. The nuke is my favorite!

I love the swarmers. They have 3 destructive missiles.
