Douglas, Jerome and Alice (Contains Spoilers to Halo wars and Halo Novels) |
|
So i was wondering about these guys and thinking they were Grey team, when i checked wikipedia grey team are lsited as trheee different people. So i was wondering who are these Spartan's.
So let's recap, 33 Spartans are created, Sam is killed in first contact with coveneant. therefore 32 are left. Now i haven't checked dates or anything so some of this may be wrong. Ok, during the attack on Reach it states that all Spartans are at Reach except for grey team. Now it couldn't be possible for Douglas, Jerome and ALice to be there ecause they are on the Spirit of fire, anyone else wonder wheter this is an error by ensemble or these are grey team and wikipedia is lieing to us. ------------------- I'm what Willis was talkin' 'bout

The 3 Spartans are part of Red Team.
And the events in Halo Wars takes place before Reach, I think. ------------------- Bleedin' blue and white

yeah but here's the thing, they can't be at Reach because that means humanity would know about the Flood, which they don't until Halo 1.

Books and games don't always influence each other directly. Also, even if it's true that they don't find the flood until Halo: Combat Evolved, they still needed to put Flood in Halo Wars in order to make for a more interesting story line.

they didnt know it was "the Flood" until Halo 1. like oblivion crazy said, they probably just thought the Flood was just some kind of weird local life form on whatever planet HW takes place on. they didnt realize the Flood were parasitic zombie-like creatures until Halo 1.

Also don't forget, these 3 spartans most likely die in the defense of reach, or before the defense, because only 3 or 5 spartans survived that if you follow the books correctly (i'm talking about Fred, Linda, Kelly, Will and and Kurt, even though Will and Kurt die) and excluding John because he's the master chief, and the flood, what Shinobi_razor said, they didn't know till MC came back from Installation 4, Namely Halo, and for an interesting tidbit, Johnson is immune to the flood transformation process, just to let you guys know...

And now we know! But how did they get stranded... oh yeah their FTL drive... well there is the legendary ending at the end saying "Captain Wake up, there is trouble", so there is going to be a sequel and something bad or something happened namely the flood or forge, don't know which, all i know it's one thing or the other

Nope, can't be a sequel unless it's taken in by another dev, cause in OXM it said that due to the economic crisis, Ensemble Studios was shut down.

I'm almost sure there is going to be a sequel. The game is being taken over by another company... something to do with Robots? Someone help me out. Anywho, they'll be responsible for the Halo Wars DLC and the likely sequel.

re: Douglas, Jerome and Alice (Contains Spoilers to Halo wars and Halo Novels) |
quote Chaoticyeah, that's what i was going to say in the 1st post but i had to cut it short as i had to go. also the flood would have been put into a database of alien lifeforms, like they have with the covenant, so the humans would know about the flood when they see them on Halo. So I'm guessing thing's will be explained in the sequel ------------------- I'm what Willis was talkin' 'bout

Sorry to hear about Ensemble, good company to make a good game, but knowing how halo had a few cliff-hanger endings, we know halo wars is going to a have a few itself
