I recently started a new game, and want to get good armor early this time through since I set the difficulty all the way up. I'm getting slaughtered and I need the good armor and weapon. But does anyone know if that trick is even legit or not? Because I went over to Old Bridge, and there are no ruins that start with a K over there. The only ruins I can find in the area is the Homestead Ruins. And there is no woman in there. Even down in the tunnels I just found a bunch of marauders. Am I in the wrong place? Did I HAVE to go there right at the beginning for her to be there. What am I doing wrong here? Has anyone tried this? I need some help.

Umbra isn't in any ruins beginning with K.

She's in an Aeylid Ruin called Vindasel.

Yea, I ended up going in there for the hell of it an found her, thanks though. But still there is another reason that trick is false. I (finally) made it back to Imp City with her on my tail, but as soon as I walk into the City the Guards arrest ME. I'm guessing mabey it's because I hit her to get her to chase me perhaps. I guess I'm just going to have to try an kill her somehow. I don't think I'll be able to though. I'm assuming she has alot of Hit Points. She killed my headless zombie in one shot when I was trying to slow her down.

Hmm, Umbra is a tough opponent. There are a few tactics available.

What race are you?

One way:

Grab a bow, a ton of arrows and a ton of magicka regeneration potions. Spend all your money in it (sell your own gear if you have to)

Notice there's a broken pillar, a table and a basket in her room. Put the basket standing up on top of the table. Jump onto the table then hop onto the basket and quickly jump to the pillar.
She can't reach you with her sword attacks up there. Use the arrows and your best spells on her.

Another way of getting yourself out of her reach is to jump from that balcony (before the stairs to her room) to those decorative ledges on the walls.

no its the same as other ebony armor, u just need a high heavy armor level to get a higher armor rating

i think the best way to kill anything is to have a high sneak level thats how i killed her with 1 hit. it does 6x the damage just go as slow as you can when you sneak up on her it worked for me and never got a scratch.
