re: Advice and GOTY edition advice |

Well, the two major bugs are: obviously not being able to cure being a vampire. Although, my advice is not to become a vampire anyway, the bonuses are out weighed by the negatives. Imo. The other drawback being items dissapear from chests if they are "over repaired". That means if you are an expert of armorer, you can repair items to 125 health making them more effective. The easiest way to combat this, is to spread your items around your house, or simply drop them. However, I think the dissapearing items glitch only occurs with Shivering Isles items, but i'm not sure. ------------------- You see, in this world there's two kinds of people, my friend: Those with loaded guns and those who dig. You can't download the new content on the PS3 at all. I would say, the guilds, Shivering Isles and Side Quests are much more fun than the main quest, but the main quest is still pretty good and varied. When fighting a vampire, you get infected with a disease called Porphyric Haemophillia, like any other disease, you can use a cure disease spell, or go the nearest church and activate the altar and everything will be fine. You can only use altars if your fame is higher than your infamy. You get fame from the main quests by doing it the good way and infamy from thieves and Dark Brotherhood quests. ------------------- You see, in this world there's two kinds of people, my friend: Those with loaded guns and those who dig. Ok so you can cure being a vampire, or is what you mentioned about spells and altars only how you do it on the original version? -------------------

Vampirism is odd. When fighting vampires, you will sometimes get infected with the disease Porphyric Haemophillia. Now that drains your fatigue. Leave it for three days without curing it, and you turn into a vampire. Now being a vampire is curable, but you need to go on a quest to do it. That quest is uncompletable on the GoTY due to a bug. But is completable on the normal one. ------------------- You see, in this world there's two kinds of people, my friend: Those with loaded guns and those who dig. You dig. ~Blondie

Well its an optional side quest so you can do it whenever you want, you can only trigger it if you become a vampire. ------------------- ![]()

So GOTY has the extra features and the original doesn't? I'm also planning to get this game, since GTAIV is boring, and a couple of my friends recommend this game. I just want to make sure. -------------------

The GotY only really has SI expansion pack. You can get that from the PS Store. But it costs $30 so it will be more economical to buy GotY since you you could get the game for less that $30 because it has been more that a year since the game came out. And your friend obviously has the original game so the glitches wont be a problem for you.

There are going to be glitches on every game, they've fixed a couple on the GoTY. Btw, you can't buy SI from the EU PS store. ------------------- You see, in this world there's two kinds of people, my friend: Those with loaded guns and those who dig. You dig. ~Blondie

You get both Knights of the Nine and Shivering Isles in GOTY. Save yourself a couple of ten-dollar downloads and just get GOTY. ------------------- quote Ace Combat 4 Shattered SkiesThe Scapegoat of Neoseeker
