So I havent played FF since IX and well, Im playing catch up in a big way. Im slowly learning my way around and getting the hang of things, but if something could please tell me what the ? next to my name means I would appreciate it. I see other players with different symbols and things next to their but since I dont have a keyboard yet for my 360, its kinda hard to chat, ya know? Plus I feel funny about just going up to someone and chatting. My gamer name is Mcgee and Im in San D'oria or however its spelled lol

The "?" next your name means you are new player in Vana'diel. You can remove it by yourself or wait about 5 hours for it to disappear. To remove it manually you go to Menu -> Help Desk -> config and pick "Cancel New Adventurer Status"

Some people have a coloured pearl next their name, which is their Linkshell. Linkshells are guilds in FF11 where you chat with people in your Linkshell
