Tetris Random Piece Generators |
|
I have a complaint about the random piece generators. They aren't random! Notice whenever you go for a tetris, you will build your tower and not once, not once get a long block to make the tetris. When you are trying to get one line, you get a long piece. Need a cube? Keep dreaming, you'll get a "T" piece. These games build your hopes and dash them!!

Note on Tetris: They will occasionally feed you pieces to make you think you have the upper hand, not the game. Maybe 1/10 times to keep you playing, but this game is rigged from the start, NOT a recommended game for people who are highly suspicious or get frustrated easily.

Recently, I was playing this game and I reached a grand total of 238 lines before the game screwed me over. The "random" piece generator gave me 5 long pieces in a row, when I was aiming to only get 1 line. I then (about 15 lines later) needed a long piece to complete my tetris, and I recieved a block, a "T" piece, and a "L" piece. This is yet more evidence that this is not a "random" piece generator, but a fixed algothirim that will screw you over just when you think have the game going in your direction. The game is programmed to send certain pieces at certain times in a seemingly random manner, but when dealing with computers, nothing, repeat NOTHING is random! It is technically impossible to be random, because it must be programmed, and it is impossible to add infinite generators with a limited amount of space available, therefore it CANNOT be 100% random, even if the game designers were trying to make it random, it still must be programmed, which also makes this feat impossible. All programs are created mathmatically, though numbers and generators MAY be infinite, they cannot be fit on limited space, so the math eventually becomes repetitive or is set to send certain pieces (all number strings) when certain needs are met, ex. you need a cube to make 2 lines, they will send you a long piece or "L" piece. The game Tetris is NOT a good game to really test your skill at anything.
