What do you guys predict will be the most popular realm (Order/Destruction), races, and classes?

These are my predictions for the most popular classes:

White Lion - An elf that's more down to earth, wields a big axe, and has a pet tiger. Not to mention that they just look all around awesome. I forsee these guys being one of the most popular, if not the most popular for Order.

Chosen - Honestly, as far as badass factor goes, these guys even top WL, and probably every other class in the game. The big, awesome armor will probably attract a horde of people straight from the start.

Other than those two, maybe the Marauder, Witch Hunter, Black Guard, and Disciple, too.

As for which side will be the most popular, this is something that for me is rather hard to predict. On the one hand, you have the "good guys," which will attract a lot of people because so many want to "identify" with their character, which means being all righteous and honorable. People often at times point to WoW as an example of this.

But you see, there is a major difference between Destruction and the Horde: Destruction actually has good looking, humanly types on their side. Unlike the Horde, which originally had nothing but ghoulish, beastly races. This much can be proven simply by the large burst of Horde-converters when the 'sexy sexy' in the form of Blood Elves were introduced. So I'm beginning to think that Destruction might end up the most popular.

agreed that White Lion will be most popular for Order. im certainly looking forward to that.

i say Destruction will be more popular though, as those classes generally look a lot cooler and seem to have more varied unique abilities (such as the Marauder's sweet mutation ability).

The amount of people playing each class on each side is pretty balanced in beta. I don't know how that will transfer over when the game launches, as that's probably because we keep in mind that we're testing and try to even out the sides.

Surprisingly enough, Order usually has more people on, but not by a lot. The sides really are balanced.

Warrior Priest, Witchhunter, and Shadow Warrior without a doubt on the Order side...I would agree with the White Lion, but i doubt many individuals (especially younger players) will have the patience or skill to negotiate combat with their animals.

Chaos i'm betting it will be Chosen, Marauders, or Blackguard...

a lot of ppl will no doubt pick Chosens just cause their armor looks so incredibly badass. Marauders will also be huge for Destruction (my favorite class on Dest side).

It honestly will not be a big deal. The warrior Priest fills an important role as either a healer or a tank. (likely the former will be requested more than the later) So even if there population is high, they will play an important role and will likely have no problems finding a party.

yeah, cause Warrior Priests are the same as Clerics, and Clerics have always been really useful in D&D and similar games.

Actually, I'm fairly certain that Warrior Priests are either DPS or healing. Infact, they're said to almost directly mirror the Disciple of Khaine, and I know those guys aren't tanks, haha. The masteries for the WP say he can specialize in healing, damage/buffing, and damage/crowd-control, as far as I can tell.

So, Hrmm traditionally they serve as a front line of defesne in warhammer lore so i just sort of thought it would be natural for them to tank...

If they have high offensive ability and heals that will likely only make the overpopulation more likely.

They will be self sufficient, dealing good damage, wearing moderately good armor, and having very efficient self heals...

From what I heard, as healers, they're fairly ineffective. They have a certain ability which allows them to heal without actually dealing damage, thereby turning them into ineffective heal-bots (exactly what Mythic has been preaching against).

However, as damage dealers, they're apparently quite capable – and all this applies to DoKs, too.

But yeah, there's a number of lore-bends in the game, so you gotta watch out for that, haha. Like from what I hear, WPs never had hair in the TT game, yeah? Pretty sure baldness is only an option in WAR.

Heh you would be right on the bald part.They do that to show respect for their chief God Sigmar...

back to the point however, i dont really care about population standards. I am not going to be an elitist just because i know a little more about the lore than alot of people who will start playing this game.

I am going to be a White Lion because they were my favorites in lore, concept, battle descriptions, and character personality (i want to play on an RP server so lore and character is important to me.)

When I first started reading this thread I thought I had the answer, but now I'm uncertain. There is a lot of good choices once you think about it for a bit.

I agree with the White lion and Witch Hunter. But I also think Bright Wizards will be plentiful. They are order's only damage-only caster class. They have an iconic feel about them too.

I think there may also be a ton of Sorceresses as well. Although destruction has other distance damage options... none of them are half-naked elves.

the Witches are more naked than the Sorceresses TBH.

So true...heh this game is being very well designed. It features so many iconic and unique classes it is really hard to just limit yourself to one...
