Anyway for us to revive this forum?

I see that people still have this forum favourited, but no new threads are ever created here. I understand that a lot of the members here are on different servers, but there is still plenty that could be discussed. Or has everybody already cancelled their subscriptions?

Shame to see this forum dead, before I even buy the game.

re: Anyway for us to revive this forum?

As time goes by the game gets better and better. That's simply the nature of MMOs (unless, of course, the developers make some monumental mistakes, which tends to happen too). So if you have yet to play the game, you will likely feel more satisfied with it than we did when it first came out.

And the forum was already fairly desolate even when Mythic was boasting about their massive subscription base. Neo is pretty weird when it comes to MMO forum activity; the WoW forum was initially desolate, too.

I'm guessing you cancelled your subscription some time ago then?
Slayers and Choppas were released some time ago if you did, as well as Patch 1.2 being released last week, and a new live event began yesterday, The Land of the Dead.

re: Anyway for us to revive this forum?

Yeah, I canceled. I got sick of being called a naysayer and whatnot by the deranged saps who couldn't handle constructive feedback of the game, Lol. Though that isn't honestly the reason I quit... just got tired of the PvP grind, s'all.

I've been tempted into going back as of late, but alas even if I did my video card is fried now, so I wouldn't be able to play most likely. I intend to buy a new one, but only until Diablo III or Guild Wars 2 comes out. Technology advances too fast for me to buy one now.

I do honestly hope that the game keeps improving, though. I'll come back in the future if it meets my rather reasonable expectations.

Good to hear. I can't wait for Diablo 3 either, GW2 does look good, but I feel that it won't have enough to do, much like Guild Wars. War can only keep improving though, it's only 7 months into release after all.

I tried to like WAR, I really did but like Dine, I ended up cancelling my subscription.

I could only do so many fort sieges before I wanted to gouge my eyes out.

re: Anyway for us to revive this forum?

I really enjoyed my time on war until just after xmas and then I started to get bored. The only thing keeping me logging in was my guild who had become real close, but suddenly due to disagreements between some of the officers and guild leader, the guild disbanded and I stopped playing full stop. Now I am checking out Aion on Chinese servers and so far it is brilliant I am finding it much more fun the War, but we'll see what happens.

How's Aion? It doesn't interest me that much but I'm willing to hear other's opinions on it.

re: Anyway for us to revive this forum?

Yeah it's good, only around level 20 so far but so far I have really enjoyed it. quests are enjoyable and though obviously leveling takes a while, the storyline is very encapturing and so you don't notice the time go by. I am playing sorceress, same as in WAR, but in Aion they are so much more fun to play. Not to mention characters have chain linked moves which adds variety to the choice of move you would use imo. I have fallen in love with one of my moves which allows me to transport myself 15m behind myself so i can continue nuking without them touching me.
I haven't witnessed the pvp so far but seeing as the guild i moved to aion with love pvp i am sure they think it is good also. I haven't played as much as them.
One of the best features is that you can fly, and fight whilst flying, which i just know will be highly beneficial later on in game. It's a very fun feature.
I have quite high expectations that once out over here it will do quite well

re: Anyway for us to revive this forum?

End game is horrible in WAR. Very very boring, I have a RR59 DoK and RR55 WE and got sick of it. They need to add/revise the end game, city sieges are very boring and doesn't work. There's no way you're even getting past stage 1 on PT, especially when they lowered the fight to 2 hours. They also need to add the wish list from EU, and start taking credit for their bugs and reimbursing their customers like WoW.

They didn't think very well when they designed the end game. They also don't have the servers to back up the RvR (and have to cap fortresses and zones, yet the server still crashes repeatedly). I play on Phoenix Throne btw.

The final straw for me was the crappy customer service, which always refused to help even though its their in game bugs. I don't pay for a game that refuses to help its own customers, when its not even the customers fault. What's kind of sad is that I made my bro, and my 3 other friends all buy collector editions (myself included); we all ended up quitting the game due to end game or customer service.

I can handle the imbalances, I can handle the horrible end-game, I can handle the lag because all of these can be solved over time. I can't, however, handle crappy customer service where they refuse to help you even due its their bugs.

I'm also waiting for guild wars 2 (long term) and diablo 3 (very short term).
