Squigs are indeed weaker than your typical mob, but "disposable" might be going a bit far. There are some types of squigs that will definitely fit that description, though; from what I hear there's a squig that you send into battle who explodes and poisons the enemies in an AoE radius. There's also a tanking squig, and an offensive squig, and probably a couple more.
I also heard that the squigs get a random color when you obtain them, like Skittles. They are currently contemplating whether to make it so that when the Squig Herder dies, the squig stays alive and continues to attack. It's a possibility, and in my view a likely one. Oh yeah, and there's an ability called "Squig Battle Armor" that allows you to get into your squig and control him by tugging on his intestines... what more do you need? | |

Heh, getting inside a Squig sounds fun. shame it can't be a Squiggoth though...
Shaman are lookin extremely cool though. I found this list of ablities: Brain Bursta Action Points: 100 Range: 0-100 ft Builds Waaagh! Deals damage and reduces the target's Willpower for 6 seconds. Life Leaka Action Points: 100 Range: 0-100 ft Builds Waaagh! Causes moderate damage to your target over 10 seconds. Gork's Barbs Action Points: 60 Range: 0-100 ft Builds Waaagh! Your enemy is surrounded by Barbs for 10 seconds, causing damage each time they use a melee ability. You Got Nuthin' Action Points: 100 Range: 0-100 ft Builds Waaagh! Your target deals 15% less damage for the next 15 seconds. 'Ere We Go! Action Points: 100 Each of your group members' next melee attacks will cause additional damage. Gork'll Fix It! Action Points: 100 Range: 0-150 ft Spends Waaagh! Heals your target. Spends Waaagh! for more effectiveness. Gather Round Action Points: Range: Spends Waaagh! Heals everyone in your group. Spends Waaagh! to increase the effect. Gedup! Action Points: 50 Range: 0-100 ft Spends Waaagh! Resurrect a dead player. Spends Waaagh! to heal them as well. Bigger, Better, An' Greener Action Points: 130 Range: 0-150 ft Spends Waaagh! Greatly heals your target. Spends Waaagh! to reduce build time. Eeeek! Your enemy is surrounded by a cloud for 10 seconds, which periodically heals any of your allies close to them. Spends Waaagh! to increase duration. 'Eavy Load Morale: 40% Range: 0-100 ft Builds Waaagh! Burdens your enemy, increasing the Action Point cost of all of their abilities by 25% for 10 seconds. Gork's Breath Morale: 60% Range: 0-100 ft Builds Waaagh! Your enemy is surrounded by a cloud for 20 seconds, causing occasional damage to themselves and all other enemies within 30 feet of them. Any enemy damaged by this ability also becomes Rooted for 2 seconds, making them unable to move. Hotfoot Morale: 80% Range: 0-100 ft Builds Waaagh! For 30 seconds, target enemy and all enemies within 30 feet of them are Snared, reducing their movement by 60% and are surrounded by Barbs, causing damage if they do move. Builds Waaagh! Gork Sez Stop! Morale; 100% Range: 0-100 ft Builds Waaagh! Deals damage to your target over 3 seconds; if they move the timer will reset back to 3 seconds and the damage continues being dealt. | |

From what I've seen so far I would be aligning myself as: Swordmaster of Order or Blackguard of Destruction but I'm not overly impressed, hopefully some other careers come out soon for both sides of the elves. ------------------- ![]() Use your flippers to get down! | |

Aye, this is where I'm happy, as Witch Elf is one of my fave units in the game.
Basically there is little to tempt me from the arms of the Druchii initially looking at the list, until new races are added of course. Skaven would be a must for me just for the insane fun that would be, and I'd love to see Chaos Dwarves too, but only after GW gets round to re-designing them. ------------------- ![]() | |

the problem with chaos dwarves will be that there is very little lore on them as they arent a playable race in the miniatures. so they would have to make it up and it would feel less real.
i think presonally that they will expand later to include the Tomb Kings as this will provide new setting/landscape (desert). and on the same vein they will do Lizardmen to include the jungle. against both though youd probably have to pit Empire unless you fit Skaven as attacking from their Underempire. but meh, just some thoughts. ------------------- ![]() We'll go so far as we please. | |

Aye, I mentioned the Chaos Dwarves as the got that picture in other races in the latest Warhammer main rulebook, rumour has been saying for a long time GW hasn't dropped them and its only a matter of time before they do get redesigned and released. Of course whether that time is two years or eight you can never tell with GW sometimes.
Just raised them as if they did get their new book within the next couple of years, I'd certainly like to see them in WaR. ------------------- ![]() | |

Oh yes, sounds awesome. I'm assuming we'll be seeing Dwarf and Empire Cannons in this game as well.. so I expect thats something my poor Witch Elf will need to get used to.

Hmm, so looks like this thread has drifted a bit off into races that won't be out in the initial release =P? However there will be none-playable races in this game right? so you will wonder on races in the lore or what not that won't be playable... if that's so then they could already be in the game... just not playable

yes this is true. and i fully expect Chaos Dwarves and Hell Cannons to be involved in the Chaos areas in the game. but it would still be nice to play as one. then you could go one on one with a 'good' dwarf and decimate him

I think he has taken the thread just a little bit too literally/seriously... still putting down Dwarves and Elves... playing WAR ya are gunna be killed by all the enemy races so I wouldn't put them down so much since you might end out getting killed a bit too often =P j/k.
