re: Introductions

Go for it, Assassin's Creed it an awesome game, but everyone fears posting in the PC forum for fear that they might be bitten by the ever so dangerous Computer Gaming bug. =/

Hi, my name is Mishtram! I followed this game pretty closely since it was first announced and, unfortunately, nothing I have can play it. Hijacking playtime on friend's 360s for the win. =P

re: Introductions

im interested in this game but i cant say the reviews of the 360 and ps3 versions have been encouraging. and since i found out about the lame sounding sci-fi side of the story ive become less sure about it.

re: Introductions

I want this game... It looks _awesome_ but there's another game I wanted (Zelda: Phantom Hourglass) and I don't really have time to play anyway. Grumble.

re: Introductions

well welcome i guess to everyone. this forum is kind of dead seeing as the PC version is yet to be released. does anyone have any info on that? i might just head over to the PS3 forum and do my information searching on the game over there

re: Introductions

Yer i really want this game for PC but i heard it dosent come out for PC untill FEB 2008, but this game is awsome!!!! its got the freedom of oblivion combined with the sickass fighting syile of prince of persia and theres heaps more!!!!

The only downside is that Jade Raymond screwed up with the SC-FI bit of the story line, but it still makes the game even more interesting.

And does anyone know the minimum system requierments for PC to run this game?

re: Introductions

I'd imagine the system requirements would be around the same as Crysis etc.

CPU: Intel Pentium 4 2.8 GHz (3.2 GHz for Vista), Intel Core 2.0 GHz (2.2 GHz for Vista), AMD Athlon 2800+ (3200+ for Vista) or better
RAM: 1GB (1.5GB on Windows Vista)
Video Card: NVIDIA GeForce 6800 GT, ATI Radeon 9800 Pro (Radeon X800 Pro for Vista) or better
VRAM: 256MB of Graphics Memory
Storage: 12GB
Sound Card: DirectX 9.0c Compatible
ODD: DVD-ROM
OS: Microsoft Windows XP or Vista
DirectX: DX9.0c or DX10

re: Introductions

you see now that is just not fair. very few people have computers able to play games like that at full settings. apparently with Crysis you need 2 really good graphics cards and all of the not even released yet top end gear to run it properly.

re: Introductions

That's the minimum system requirements. The recommended system requirements are worse. If your PC doesn't meet the minimum criteria, you will struggle to play the game on low settings on a small resolution.

The recommended system requirements are:

CPU: Core 2 Duo/Athlon X2 or better
RAM: 1.5GB
Video Card: NVIDIA 7800 Series, ATI Radeon 1800 Series or better
VRAM: 512MB of Graphics Memory
Storage: 12GB
Sound Card: DirectX 9.0c Compatible
ODD: DVD-ROM
OS: Microsoft Windows XP or Vista
DirectX: DX9.0c or DX10

Baring in mind these are for Crysis. Although I do expect Assassin's Creed to be as just demanding.

My computer can handle Crysis on Medium/High Settings on a high resolution (1440x900). Using just the one, mid-range gfx card (X1950 Pro). My PC was relatively cheap, but I did build it myself which cuts costs dramatically.

re: Introductions

yea i knew they were the minimum reqs and my comp would easily play them but apparently the recommended reqs dont even get you to full capacity which is what all the promo screenies were taken at. so the game has not so great graphics for most although for the super rich or hardcore gamers then they can have supercomputers that can play it at full. and if Assassins Creed is the same as that then it may be worth it to buy a PS3 instead of upgrading my comp.

shit that was a ramble but i hope i got my point across.

re: Introductions

Yeah I understood it.

You're right, not many computers will be able to play games like Assassin's Creed at the level you see in the Promo's. Still can play at a very high level of Graphics and still enjoy the game.

Although, investing in a PS3 or 360 is the cheapest option to play Assassin's Creed at the level of graphics that you are wanting.

re: Introductions

That's Crysis's Recommended System Requirements. Assassin's Creed could be a fair bit higher. Just need to wait and see.

re: Introductions

assassins creeds system requirements higher than crysis? are you high? no way. crysis is much better looking that AC. and although the distance you can see when on top of one of the buildings would require a special machine i very much doubt the game would generally need a better PC than crysis.
