Well I *just* started a Shaman and I'm getting OWNED by mobs... what am I doing wrong????

Seems like I have alot of downtime drinking... I'm only level 8 by the time I got frustrated and stopped for the day, LOL.

Are you enhancement spec because enhancement spec is for burst damage and you should be killing the mobs fast with enhancement. I forgot what lvl u get this at but you can get water sheild which gives you mana every time a mob hits you or cast a spell on you.

Water shield is 62.

I think I'm only level 8 before I got frustrated and I haven't played WoW at all since... been too busy... so I haven't decided which spec to go with yet... suggestions?

I have a 68 frost mage atm, and also have a 22 rogue, but I'd say that my mage was a blast, easy to solo almost everything, and if played right, the pvp aspect is also alot of fun.

you guys are prolly gonna think im insane but ive been leveling my priest as holy and its really quite fun. I can always get instance groups and its actually not as slow as most people think it is. but i also just started a pally and its really quite fun.

Funniest class to play IMO is a enhancement shammy, they can heal, they can use totems, they can summon things, they can duel wield, they get weapon enhancements, can wear mail, get a travel form and as a lvl 70 enhancement shammy you never have to have a MB because you just use water shield, mana totem and shamanistic rage

I loves my Warlock. Super fast, and it's great fun to take on multiple mobs at once and come out with basically full mana and health.

I have to agree with Annex. Enhancement Shamans are just plain amazing. I can easily trump the DPS of ever class I encounter my level from either faction. I can heal between mobs two to three times, so little to no downtime drinking. Windfury also makes DPS insane. If you have two 2.00-2.50 'heavy' weapons with around 100+ attack both with Windfury, and these are of course rounded off estimates with no crits applied...

100+ & 100+ for standard damage, added to 200+ times two, since Windfury hits twice, means you can hit 1k+ with ideal conditions. That's just at level 35 or so, too. Also, Shamans get two wonderful skills that take advantage of their high critical chance. One that increases attack speed for three swings, and another that makes Shock spells cost 60% less mana. Along with a party buff further down the road, increasing their attack for your crits.

My Shaman is only lvl48 and I'm an absolute monster when it comes to DPS. I took two lvl50 Ogres out, then a lvl48 and lvl47 with no mana left. So yeah, roll a Horde Shaman.

Well I have absolutely LOVED leveling my Shadow Priest. Hands down the most favorite for me to level. I do good damage and I never die

I have a Mage and Warrior both 70.

Im actually enjoying levelling my Rogue currently though.

Shaman by far! I guess the reason why is u get to re roll at 70 becaus eu have crap dps 2x's the fun

I really enjoyed leveling my lock, got bored once I hit 41 though. I find it really fun and intersting to level as a mage, burst dps is epic. Also huntards are really easy, and probably somewhat fun to take to 70 too.

I did like pallies until I noticed they have NO ranged attacks, even warriors have c-bows.

As for a priest, it's pretty fun to level those too, espically when you use shadow for awesome damage.
