Super Shaman

So, to make a long story short, I'm sticking with one and only one character until I hit 70 before I start making so many alternate characters. With that being said, my natural Tauren pride had me choosing to be a Tauren of course. Druids are fun, but not a class I'd want as my main. Especially since I was underpowered against some Crossroads quests after completing too fast without enough grinding. I've been a Hunter far too much, and dislike the Warrior's strictly melee style. So, what would one have left but the almighty Shaman.

To be honest, I can see why people call them overpowered. At level 9, with a one hand mace, 30+ hits and 60+ crits while using Rockbiter are commonplace. Our healing spells come often and do their job exceptionally well. Totems, even though I forget to use them more often than not, can do so much to aid me in battle. Add to that the speed of Ghost wolf at level 20 and I don't even really need to buy myself a mount.

So to make sure this Shaman is the best he can be, I have come to ask for the wisdom of the sages of Neoseeker. I'm of course going to upgrade to mail armor as soon as possible, and I believe I'm going with an Enhancement focused spec. i have a link to my planned out spec below. I believe it'll let me bash and smash with weapons and spells while allowing me to heal properly when needed. I'll mostly be doing PvE until later levels where I'll be running through some PvP for the gear later on.

So, thoughts?

5/40/16 <-- Endgame spec of course.

re: Super Shaman

The first thing i'm going to say is that that build is terrible. Don't go 40 points into Enhancement then not get the final talent...and trying to go enhancement but be able to heal at 70 is useless as well, spec for one role. A couple of improvements for that build are.

Scrap Improved Lightening Shield, it's useless, completly useless once you get Water shield.

Anticipation isn't that good, put 1 point in Shamanistic Focus, you use shocks even as enhancement.

Put 5/5 into Flurry.

Weapon Mastery is a great talent, put 5/5 into it.

And get Shamanistic Rage...

About being overpowered, Enhancement isn't that good at lower levels, but once you get Windfurry weapon, dual weild and Stormstrike your damage is huge.

re: Super Shaman

Firstly, I accidentally said to not to put points into toughness on accident, put 5/5 flurry and 5/5 into Toughness if you really need to.

Shield specialization is useless to enhancement shamans, they dual wield once they're able to.

Put 2/2 into either Guardian Totems or Enhancing totems.

3/3 into Mental Quickness.

Elemental Warding isn't very useful, same for Earths Grasp.

Eye of the Storm is also useless. Enhancement shamans use shocks and SS which are instant casts.

Most people just go with 2/5 Concusion in the Elemental tree though with 5/5 Improved healing wave (filler talent), 5/5 Totemic focus, 1/1 Totemic mastery and 3/3 Natures guidance, with 45 points in the Enhance tree.

re: Super Shaman

Looks good enough, except I'd say 2/5 concusion is better than 2/5 convection and 2/2 Imp weapon totems is better than guardian totems.

Everyone complains about every class. One day a class needs a buff and the next day someone is screaming to nerf them.

Actually Shield Spec is good for fighting Warriors and Rogues.

Not as much as people moan about Shamans.

re: Super Shaman

I got a 70 Resto Shaman, however I was Enh/Ele up until then, and I would drop the talents in the resto and go 5/5 concussion and convection, then 5/5 in reverberation then your last point in elemental focus in the ele tree.

Part of leveling a char is finding out what suits you the best though, you'll eventually find out what's good an dwhat's not
