I've never seen guild chat separated from the rest of the chat window. I used to have interesting looking UIs but they always get *bleep*ed up when patches come along and sometimes I have to reload my computer and they get missed up.
It's too much of a hassle to make it look all fancy. I might do something fancy after 3.2 comes out. | |

Honestly I can't play without UI mods anymore. The default UI makes me shudder. It'd be like trying to do surgery with a butcher's knife.
I actually have three chat panes, and I had Prat drag the textfield to the center just above the main row. The lower left controls various general channels as well as raid chat and default stuff like rep gains and loot. The lower right handles guild and party chat. The one above it with nothing in it in that shot handles whispers and officer chat. It aggrivated me to have whispers lost because someone was spamming trade chat that their guild managed to kill FL and deserved for everyone to join them. I've toyed with making the bottom bar invisible unless hovered over, but I found it screwed up my instinct. Out of sight, out of mind, and such.  My UI in raids springs to life with a craptonne of other shit. I stare almost exclusively at the cooldown timer mod for my druid shit like Eclipse. Tried to get a SS when it was at its most chaotic. Even managed to snag one with Eclipse AND my 4-piece bonus going off in it. Anyone have a mod that neatly senses cooldowns in some form or another? I know some of my mods announce them quickly, but you can see how they would get lost. | |
