re: Mounts |

I've been saving since level 30. I'm a tauren druid, so I don't need a regular mount, so I need to save up the what is it... 900 gold for an epic mount. Not expecting to get it for quite a long time. I actually made another character to keep all my money on lol. I've just got a rich-ass level 1 rogue waiting at the mailbox in Brill. -------------------

I don't plan on having enough for my epic for a long time either, I'm like 3000XP away from 60 with about 50g right now, plus I need to buy 2 epic weapons and 2 rather expensive enchants, maybe in a few months I guess....

quote Inferno PenguinI'm an enterprising Tauren Druid (lvl 14), and I've heard about the transportation form (cheetah?) - is it just as fast as a normal mount? This message was edited by t3h big one on Mar 27 2005. -------------------

Yeah, travel form is 140% regular speed. And I think the regular mounts are 40% speed boost as well, I think... So there's really no need to buy one, unless you're in it for the looks. Which is alright, too. I suggest saving for your epic mount now -------------------

well im a pally and apparantly u talk to the paladin trainerin stormwind and he goes your are lvl 40 (he basicly say ur strong enough) and he gives u a paladin warhorse straight away.. im till lv 16, but i this is my second account so im not a noob but a lvl 40+ paladin told me u talk to the paladin trainer in STORMWIND and he gives it to u but it was a human paladin. so i reckon if ur a dwarf, u get a warhorse of ironforge paladin trainer

quote ClericI just got my epic mount probably less then a week ago. It took me about 2 weeks of saving and no disenchants to get up to about 695g, luckly two friends in my guild were able to spot me the 205 ^^ It takes AWHILE to get your epic mount, even your first mount takes a bit of effort.. you honestly have to put questing aside and just kill things that yield money and sell goods over the AH. Monotonous? Yes. Worth it? Hell ya. -------------------

re: Mounts |
quote Slaymeryea, at level 40 both Paladins and Warlocks get quests for class specific mounts. I know the warlock quest is *bleep*ly easy, I wouldn't be suprised if the pally one is the same way. Both of the mounts take mana to summon, not sure if they take longer to summon then a regular steed or not though. All Paldins get a horse with a kind of war armor on it, while all Warlocks get a "Felsteed" that looks like Nightmare. -------------------
