I personally have not been too happy with the server I have been on (Dethecus PvP server). The superior guilds do not appeal to me, and one in particular named ChaosTheory I rather despise for their immature mannerisms and inflammatory remarks against every player they meet. On top of all of that, my guild turned out to be a gang of traitors who on a whim betrayed the guild.

I would very much enjoy making a new character. And that got me thinking, "Why don't I join another server as well?" But the issue is that I would much rather join a new server, but I haven't a clue as to how I would go about figuring out which servers are of the newer sort and which are of the older sort, or if Blizzard will actually add any more new ones.

Any suggestions?

Look at the population. If the population is low it must be a fairly new server.

Dethecus was one of the starting servers, and we're still at low population, so I don't think that will work for me. Thanks for the suggestion, though.

Off the top of my head Firetree, a PvP server was one that was added only a few months ago, not as much people there I'm sure, and if you see anyone named Gorfang or Phate running around, give them a smack for me .

I checked out Firetree, and according to someone on their forums, the server is medium population and can be at high population on weekends. The forum also has more pages than the Dethecus forum. Plus I saw plenty of level 60's. I don't think that server is what I am looking for. Thanks again for the suggestion, though.

I don't think I will find a new enough server.

Guess you can wait until Blizzard releases a few new ones, shouldn't be to long now....Or come to Elune, there's like a bejillon new people here all the time, so you'll fit in .

But the question is, how will I know when they release a new one? There are so many, I wouldn't even know which one was new.

It's a bit old, but gives you accurate enough figures to pick a server.

My server darkspear is constantly low pop..unless every high is down then lotsa ppl amke alts but thats rare

Why do u want a 'new' server anyway?

I'd rather have a fresh start with everyone else, especially since there always seems to be one elitist guild of pricks on every server. It would be nice to start all over, with a new guild, and help them get to the top. On any regular server, everyone is in a guild, and anyone who isn't is merely an alt of someone who is. So it is a bit difficult to recruit people and create a successful guild, I think.

The way we recruit is to simply ask people that we quest with after a quest. If they're nice, and good, and at least semi-professional, we'll send them an invite. We've got a small (22 members) guild, but we're all close and really helpful. Actually, half the group is just me and a bunch of friends But the other half is recruited!
