Fire resist gear. |
|
Where is the best place for me to get fire resist gear. I am going to run Molten Core soon and before I can get my epic drops I need gear to resist all the fire dmg that I will be taking there. ------------------- And you think that unto such as you a maggot-minded, starved, fanatic crew God gave a secret, and denied it me? FR gear is really unimportant except for the Rag fight, and really only the tank needs FR then.

quote SavageFrappuccinoShazzrah? The tunnel between Garr and that area? You're dead if you don't have any fire resist. You don't need THAT much, though. I do fine with around 180 (buffed) -------------------

It really depends on what class you are, BRD and DM have some good FR drops. You can easily survive rag if your FR is somewhere in the neighborhood of 100 (buffed) unless youre a rogue/warrior.

You'll acquire most of your FR gear from running MC itself. I'm a rogue and have 152 FR unbuffed, over 200 buffed. Tanking warriors should shoot for 300/350 FR because it seems the FR seems most significent in 50 unit increments. ------------------- I am home

Yes 350ish FR is perfect for Rag. Other mobs AKA Firelords need around 150 FR. BUT Dont forget u'll need to focus on Stamina... Those boss's and Rag do hit for ALOT. When i tanked rag i found it fairly hard the first few tries.

If your guild is getting close to Rag, they should already be farming Ony on at least a weekly basis. The cloaks should be pumped out sooner or later. If you are cheap, just enchant the cloak with +7 FR in addition to the +16 already on there... ------------------- I am home

BTW FR gear stops doing anything after 315 on tanks so generally 300 is what they go for. ------------------- http://wow.allakhazam.com/profile.html?932764 ^ WoW Character ^

98-105 FR for lava packs and baron, for Rag i wear a bit more just because I hate being thrown around like a rag doll so with 120-150 i resist nearly all of the knockbacks. Also yes looks like FR against lvl 63 mobs is currently capped at 315Fire Resist which should equal to about 70% chance to resist (not 100% sure on this). ------------------- I'll work on my signature later.
