Hello, I am new here and new to WoW, but I have many friends who play it. Odds are, as soon as I level up (they are all 50+) we are going to go as a party for the majority of the time, and they say that they need a priest. I said that's fine, so I am planning on becoming a human priest. Now, when I am a priest, should I invest my talents and such into Holy powers or shadow powers? What I'm trying to say is, Shadow Priest VS. Holy Priest. -------------------

If you're going to party for the majority of the game, then go holy priest. Shadow priests are more for self questing or grinding when you need the extra damage. When you're in a party, especially for the majority of your game, you shouldn't be attacking anything, just healing. -------------------   | |

From talking with my friend who has a priest, I think you should be a shadow priest all the way until level 60. The only reason you should spec holy at any time during your leveling is if you think you will be grouping for instances multiple times a day. When you reach 60, you'll probably end up with half your points in holy and the other half in discipline. ------------------- I am home | |

What if we had a Druid in our party that can heal? Still Holy or Shadow?? -------------------

Go shadow up to 40, then respec for like 1 gold to holy. You'll need the extra DPS for leveling up, it's a lot harder to level a holy priest than a shadow. -------------------  | |
