Priests |
|
Hello, I am new here and new to WoW, but I have many friends who play it. Odds are, as soon as I level up (they are all 50+) we are going to go as a party for the majority of the time, and they say that they need a priest. I said that's fine, so I am planning on becoming a human priest. Now, when I am a priest, should I invest my talents and such into Holy powers or shadow powers? What I'm trying to say is, Shadow Priest VS. Holy Priest. -------------------

If you're going to party for the majority of the game, then go holy priest. Shadow priests are more for self questing or grinding when you need the extra damage. When you're in a party, especially for the majority of your game, you shouldn't be attacking anything, just healing. ------------------- ![]() ![]()

quote tomithedeonif your in a party go holy, shadow is soloing, holy makes preists the most awesome support unit in the entire game, plus for pvp go holy as you want high holy damage for fighting undead players with their shadow resistance. ------------------- Look at my work.

From talking with my friend who has a priest, I think you should be a shadow priest all the way until level 60. The only reason you should spec holy at any time during your leveling is if you think you will be grouping for instances multiple times a day. When you reach 60, you'll probably end up with half your points in holy and the other half in discipline. ------------------- I am home

quote Total Nonstop Actionnot even most of the time if you are party questing etc, you can just do one flash heal to fix em up and do dps with shadow. i was 37 shadow, 2 holy and rest into disc right until the moment i hit 60 in parties my healing wasnt gimped at all. in fact, i learn to manage my mana beter and to cast more efficient heals without a healing specc. i almost always got compliments on my healing

Go shadow up to 40, then respec for like 1 gold to holy. You'll need the extra DPS for leveling up, it's a lot harder to level a holy priest than a shadow. ------------------- ![]()

Why respec at holy at 40? You get shadow form then.(I think)

quote SIS_WolfhoundDruids are far better Healers than Paladins. =/ Depends on how the Druid is speced though. If the Druid was going for a more Healing Kind of Character, then they can heal almost as good as any priest.

Because if you roll a Dwarf, I might just say it's the most desired class combination on Alliance, hands down. -------------------
