It seems to me that rogues would be the best class to make gold since they don't require expensive armor/equip and don't really have a specific profession they need therefore you could easily choose two gathering profs without feeling guilty Any thoughts? Or any other classes you think are better in the gold-making/lack of need thereof?

To bad rogues are also on the bottom feeders list with mages for hit points.

mages can aoe and kill lots of mobs at once, thats pretty decent money if you know what to attack. hunters and rogues are good at soloing elites and such so they can get some good loot as well. those 3 tend to be good money makers plus if you decide to get some moneymaking prof like skinn, mining, or herbalism.

Hunters are the ones used by gold farmers to bot with due to the fact they can wear mail have a tank with them and nice range power/feign death

I've been puttering over this theory the past few days as well whilst farming and grinding my way to 40. My standard routine for taking down a solo mob is
"Distract -> Pick Pocket -> Cheap Shot -> Backstab -> Sinister Strike -> Eviscerate"

and Sinister Strike away what fragments remain. Afterwards nt only have you acquired loot from pickpocketting them, but the afterloot as well. By the time the next enemy attacks you for the first time your health ma have already regenerated. Rogues have very little downtime, and can easily work their way through a camp of enemies and wipe out everything on site. And though they don't wear mail or plate they do do some of the game's best damage, which lets them make the fight much shorter.

No mana and quick finishes = farmer extraordinaire!

Well we dont have sweeping strikes but we do have Blade Flurry. That allows us to attack two enemies for 15 sec. The bad part is that it has a two min cooldowm and 9 times out of 10 you wont kill both mobs in that 15 sec.

well if u use ''adrenaline rush'' at the same time as ''blade flurry''...well you'l see ^^

Rogues have to repair more than other classes, thats 5g+ right there. Fadeleaf for Blind costs alot as well, making poisons arent exactly cheap either.

Sonic Flash, backstab while trying to get to lvl 40? Just go swords and spam SS.

yea my friend told me about the repairs he has to go thru from MC.

btw the thread asks if rogues can make money well and they do, so as long as you go out and make the money you can buy the mats you need for rogue goods.
