Hmph, maybe try some long rangers, and close combat fighters with a status inflicting secondary? (and put the gadgeteer/tinker to sleep)
You could also bring in a paladin and have him use cover on the moogles who seem to die most often. ------------------- | |

Too much action in my RPG. >.>
I don't mind all this Crystal Chronicles stuff for the consoles, but I'd like SquareEnix to release a proper FF game, or at least a remake even. Actually, I'd HATE to play an SRPG on consoles. I've come to realize how much better it is to play them on a handheld since you can pick it up whenever you want and play it in short bursts, like finish a battle or two. On a console you're just sitting there. But I'm not making too much sense since otherwise just about every game would be on a handheld then.

Yeah I did, but its too character based. I like having a class or job system. Not to mention once you get the right characters it becomes tremendously easy.
And I'm more of a console person, but I am leaving on vacation next month so I need a new DS game before I go to keep me busy. [: Not sure what I should get though, probably a strategy game. ------------------- | |

Seriously. Now that I've actually played the game, I can definitely say that people should go out and buy it. Especially if you're into strategy games. I played it for 6 hours straight the day I got it. And then my idiot brother erased my file not once, but twice when I'd managed to put in 12 hours combined. Usually, I get pissed off and just forget about the game for a little while, but I actually didn't mind it at all with this game. The battles are so fun and unique that you look forward to every single one of them. And the game can easily last you almost as long as FFTA2. But you can finish battles as quickly as 3 minutes or 10 minutes depending on what you want as opposed to nearly every battle taking you at least 10 minutes in FFTA2. Seriously, buy it. It's hard to classify it. And wikipedia won't help too much. If anything it'll end up confusing you. Read one of the reviews or watch one of the tutorial videos on youtube. You can find all the stuff in the forum.
But yeah, it's difficult to place it in a single genre. It's got a bit of strategy elements like Disgaea DS and FFTA2 along with a bit of arcade style shooters like Space Invaders and stuff where you're trying to avoid enemy bullets. The story is a lot darker and more grim than FFTA2's sunny plot and characters. It's a lot more mature, but the best part that I liked was that it's also 100% credible. You don't get a cast of characters like the traditional RPG setting where they're taking on the whole world themselves. And since you literally get a 100 different people, the character development isn't that strong, but you get to see glimpses into their lives. I bought it on Sunday, and I can say. IT IS AMAZING. Although I don't get why you need to recruit Knights if there are new ones in every scene. Plus the story is sort of confusing.
