i was playing with my Sims and i got one of them to walk outside and take a swim. just as he got into the pool it started raining. i took no notice of it. 2 minutes later a massive lighting bolt came down and struck my Sim just as he got out of the pool. now he is dead!
 has something like this ever happened to someone else? | |

ouch! lol no. I don't have seasons yet. Getting it for Christmas. Considering its like in 9 days. Can't wait!

My sim got struck by lightning when she was meditating on the beach. All her needs took a huge drop and her face and hair got all burnt too but she didn't die. I know if your sim is low on at least 3 or 4 needs and gets scared by a ghost, they will die. So it's probably the similar case with lightning.
I also had a few times when lightning struck one of the trees and started a fire. There was one time when that happened I had my sim call the fire department. But when the firetruck got there, the fire was already put out by the rain... | |

A lot of my sims have got struck whilst outside near water in a storm. If your sim had low needs then they will die.

My sims get hit by lightnig all the time! what helps is if u put a lightning rod on the roof. it doesnt always work though, so now i have lots of dead sims, and some sims that fear the outdoors, lol

It was my sims elder birthday party and he had a hotub. some sims that I invited to the party went in the hotub and then it started raining and they got struck by lightning and died.

Once I had made two sims (Ron and Hermione from Harry Potter) and I added a second story to their house and Ron was sleeping in his bed and Hermione was cooking. Then the stove caught fire just as a bolt of lightning came down and struck the bed. Then the fireman came (good thing I had a smoke alarm) and he put out the stove, the bed, and Ron's feet. LOL!!!
