1 – Spamming -
Spamming includes off topic posts, pointless one liners and can also be extended to threads which have no relation to the topic of the forum (including 'Goodbye Threads' and Spam threads. Goodbye threads are permitted only to forum moderators.). We don’t want to see posts that simple say ‘Lol, funny!’ or "Yeah". Put some meaning into them, and stick to the topic of the thread.

Also, keep in mind that bumping any thread by simply saying "Bump" is considered spam, as well as posting in a thread more than a year old that isn't indexed in the thread index (marked in the thread subtitle as "Thread Indexed") is also considered spam.

2 – Double Posting -
There is no need to post twice in a row. The Edit function allows you to add more to your last post, so use this instead of posting twice.

3 – Flaming –
Flaming will probably result in an instant ban. Everyone has the right to their own opinion, so don’t go attacking anyone if you disagree with them. If you see someone flaming another member, then report their post. Telling a Moderator that they aren't good at their job is counted as flaming and will result in an instant ban. From now on, don't do it.

4 – Memberating -
Do not try to pose as a moderator in any way. We are more than capable of taking care of things. This also includes telling a Mod how to do his/her job. Do not question a Mod's decision as well. We know how to do our Job, that's why we're Moderators.

5 – Advertising -
Advertising of any sort within your posts is against the Neoseeker Policy. If you wish to promote a site, then place the link in your signature.

6 – Creating Threads
You are more than welcome to create a topic, but make sure it doesn’t already exist. We have a thread index, located below this post, so use it. Also, We don’t want to see any ‘General Discussion’, or ‘General Help’ threads, as they are no longer permitted on Neoseeker. Please also note that threads which are not directly related to the forum's main focus, Monster Hunter Freedom 2, as well as threads of a gaming nature or otherwise (ie. Quiz threads, activity threads, project threads etc) should be discussed with your forum moderator via NeoPM BEFORE creating them. They NEED to have prior approval if they are to be allowed within the forum.

7 – Grammar and Punctuation -
No one likes to have to decipher other peoples posts. Before submitting a post, run it through the spell check, it’s there for a reason. You don’t need to have an English Degree. Just make your posts readable.

8 – Spoilers-
This game has just been released and many people may not have not completed it yet. For this reason, be sure to warn others of spoilers.

9 – Game Threads-
Before creating any type of game thread, please PM the rules to the moderator first either through PM or in the Suggestions thread. Badly designed games can result in a lot of spam.

10 – Fan-Fics-
With the amount of Fan-Fics coming out, I've decided to set some rules.

It has to be readable, and it has to be comprised of good spelling. The Check Spelling button is one touch away.

As for replying to fan-fic threads, don't turn them into a General Discussions. Commenting is fine as long as it isn't hurtful. Advice and constructive criticism is allowed as long as the Author says so.

Only a low level of swearing is allowed, seeing as this is an M rated forum, but bypassing the filter is NOT acceptable.

Spam, racism and heavy sexual content is also unacceptable and will result in the thread being deleted.

Discouragement of the creating or continuation of fanfics is not aloud and considered disrespectful. Just because a forum may be overflowing doesn't mean it is acceptable grounds on pressuring another member to either stop their fanfic or not create one all together.

Fanfic authors must ensure that their fanfics planned will be more that 5 chapters before they close their fanfic.

Fanfics MUST be submitted to the Fanfic Central Thread before being created. If not, they will be deleted.

11 – Illegal Material -
The discussion of emulators, ROMs, Warez, CD Keys, Cracks, Key Generators or any other kind of illegal material is not allowed in this forum and it is not allowed in Neoseeker.com. Just don't discuss them and you will save yourself of a ban.

12 – Bypassing -
Bypassing can be one of two things.

Swear Filter Bypassing - Just because you may know some neat trick on how to post a swear word without it being turned into a *bleep* doesn't give you the freedom to. Especially when you use it to flame someone. Don't do it.

Ban Bypassing - When you get a ban, don't bypass it and start a new account or post as a guest. We know if it's you, so don't think you can get away with it. Bypassing leads to an even longer IP ban on all of your accounts. Helping a member Bypass will lead to you getting a ban yourself.

13 – "Meet Up" Threads -
"Meet Up in Real Life" threads are not allowed within this forum. I'm sure anyone with half a brain would realise a thread like that isn't smart. Anybody can come in here, register as a member, then organize to meet up with you.
You hear of people that go missing, get assaulted, or getting kidnapped on TV. I don't want any of that to be linked to our forum, especially seeing as Machienzo, Synergized and Dark Dom will get the blame for not stopping it in the first place. Stick to Xlink Kai, or you can always check their profile to see where a member lives. Heck, you should get to know someone before you meet up with them off the 'Net. =|

14 - Thread Titles - Thread titles must always be informative and related to the topic. I've noticed a lot of topics named "Help me" or "Need Help". Make the title relate to what you need help with. This will help us index it, and help others to come up with an answer.

• "Help me?!" is NOT descriptive
• "Favorite...?" is NOT descriptive

• "I can't kill a *Insert monster name here*" IS descriptive
• "I need a *Insert item name here*" IS descriptive

15 - Gathering Hall's and the Hunter's Tavern - There is a lot of dispute in Hunter's Tavern and who gets to make the next one. First come, first serve rule will be in effect. By first come, first serve, I mean that when the Hunter's Tavern hits 30 pages, the first to create one, will have dibs. If multiple ones are created, the first created will be kept, the others, terminated as soon as possible. A user cannot make the Hunter's Tavern more than two times in a row. If they get it twice in a row, they cannot make another Hunter's Tavern for at least three threads. Don't panic if the Hunter's Tavern is not closed and the 30 page limit is over. It's not the end of the world and thread can carry past 30 pages if necessary. The Gathering Hall will always be made by one of the Moderators.

16 - Cheating and/or Gamesaves -
This forum, as well as it's members and moderators do not entirely approve of discussion about cheating in the game, as well as requests for hacked gamesaves. Please keep in mind that any requests for any cheats or special gamesaves will not be permitted within this forum.

17 - Page Stretching and/or Quote Chains -
Page streching and/or quotes chains are unacceptable and very annoying for all members. Please do no have any extremely large images or carry on a conversation through excessive use of the quoting system, as this become very annoying for all people involved and can also be considered spam.
