Where can I find the black pearl and how can you defeat the Kut-ku?
Does he recharge himself back to full health when he rests?
Because I swear I think I was about to defeat him but he ran away and when I fought him back, it seems like I didn't do any damage at all.

I'm using an improved Giapray blades and full Giaprey Armors.

Black Pearl- from the crab family monsters. i think its the little ones that give it, but its still pretty rare. If youre not having any luck, try HR4+ and kill a few.

as for the Kut-ku, no, he doesn't insta-regen when he sleeps. it goes back slowly. the main point of the fight, though, is to kill it before it goes to sleep...

a good tip form when and if they go to sleep is to blow them up with LGBB or LGBB+ since it does like 3x the damage. if your lucky you might kill it

i mean the little ones. I KNOW ive gotten a few pearls from the little hermitaurs

You can also get the pearls from the "beautiful shell" gathering points in the jungle near the beach at any hunter rank. They aren't rare, I guess around 1 in 4 items gathered are black pearls

Kut-ku sleeps in Area 6 in Jungle just bring bombs so you can surprise him with a LOUDDDDD wake up call, remember the 1STFIRST hit that a sleeping monster receives does 3 times damage so if you plan to bomb him in it's sleep make sure not to put the sbb (small barrel bomb) to close

1) Bombs: Make or buy them. Place 2 LBB+ at the monster weakest part (normally the head) but slightly away. Around 1-2 foot strides away. Then place a SBB 2-3 foot strides away from the LBB+.

2) One at sand beach in area 4 near entrance to area 3. Another at sand beach in area 10 in the most south eastern point.

3) It will regenerate HP when it sleeps. If you have bombs then let it sleep to do more damage later. Else, don't give it a chance to recover.

to make LGBB+ combine large barrel bomb with scaterfish or scaternut i forgot
