They are weak against thunder and maybe fire...not sure about the fire part though. If you can't grab a thunder LS, then make sure you have the highest raw you can get and use attack powerups. Wait for plessy to do a watershot and then get a quick slash or two on the head/neck area and then roll away or something. Wait for another watershot then repeat the process. You can kind of bait them to do a watershot by standing in front of plessy. When plessy raises his head to do the shot, you need to be running at it off-center (you don't want to be shot with the waterblast ya know lol) and slash the head/neck area. If that doesn't work for you, then you may want to try a thunder bow if you can get one...sonic bow I believe. Then there are always bowguns if you are good with those...just get one that does thunder shots. Make sure you bring a shocktrap as well with materials for 2 more. I can remember if pitfalls work on them or not...if they do, bring one of those as well.

I don't recommend a GS, it's quite slow and his body slams can be annoying. I used my sonic bow to kill him, but a SnS would also work as long as you keep rolling.

The only problem with using a bow or SnS against Plesioth is that Plesioth has an incredible amount of health. Using a weak weapon like a bow or SnS doesn't help either. Longsword is definitely the best weapon against Plesioth. Eager Cleaver or Devil Slicer make quick work of Plesioth. For armor skills, get anything to increase your average damage output. Reckless Abandon and Attack Up are nice. Makes the long battle somewhat more bearable. Just be careful not to get hit. Shouldn't be too hard.

Try using SnS or a bow on HR4 Dual Plesioth. Very difficult and time consuming. And you gamble on whether or not you will be able to kill both Plesioths on time. I rather just use Devil Slicer/ Eager Cleaver and be certain to kill both Plesioths. That's just my opinion though. Longsword is definately much faster than SnS/bow.

Meh, probably because im a Legend with them now

I don't mind longswords not being able to block. It would make the weapon way overpowered if it could. You just have to know when to move away from Plesioth because the #1 reason for dying against a Plesioth is that you get greedy and he hip checks you to death. No blocking is no biggie.

For armor, go with offensive armor. I personally use Rathalos Soul armor for Attack Up (Large) and Reckless Abandon+1. But almost any armor works well on Plesioth.

Don't go with Giaprey armor. Skills are useless in my opinion. I think Ceanatuar armor should serve you fine. The skills it gives are good for making the battle with Plesioth shorter, especially Sharpening Skl Inc.

As for Devil Slicer, you have to get to G-rank Khezu before you can get the materials for it. And the guy who needs help is only on 4* Elder quests. The best he can get is Eager Cleaver which will serve him just fine. Just remember you don't have to kill Green Plesioth to advance in the Elder quests.
