Improvements you would make |
|
If there was going to be a sequel to this game, what changes would you make?
For me, it would be more cars on the game and more realistic physics.

Welp, lets see Here
Damageable car parts: Really, how fun is it, driving 200+mph, ramming head on into an 18 wheel semi truck, and being fine. More Classic Cars: Self explanatory Adding on to that, show how they have grown, like say a 67 Shelby gt 500, then an 09 Shelby. Weather: Rain please A game clock: Have the sun rise, set, and have night fall in the game. It should be somewhat long compared to others Gas. I want to be able to have to pay for gas, and have gas prices go up and down (online only?) Everyday cars: With the gas, we could use some regular cars, for just going around town, a camry, some hondas, etc. Unlimited Paint Jobs: We should be able to get any car, any color. Their was a hack like this for the 360, but le4ts add more to it Custom Designs: In the paint mode, we should be able to make custom stripes on our car. Thus, eliminating the striped club car ------------------- "Light travels faster than sound. This is why some people appear bright before you hear them speak"

Including everyday cars is a waste of time. So is gas. Gas means it costs money to go driving, you're being punished to go driving. Who wants to play the game if you're being punished for it?
The paint thing is because the game allows you to choose real paintjobs. You buy a car from a dealership, and you get real dealership options. Not anything. Agreed though, paint shops are a good idea for custom paints. -------------------

I would definitely like to see different weather conditions and be ale to sell cars when you want, not just when you are buying another car.

Oh, I also want better physics.
I think not being able to sell might've been a bug they didn't consider too much. -------------------

The physics on this game are terrible. I would rather have no physics than the ones they put in this game.

LOL no physics. I hope you understand the gravity of what you just said.

Yes. No gravity would mean huge air time and you would get loads of master points.
You see, I have thought this through but I will admit that one of the problems I need to over come is the Laws Of Physics.

Two things, and this game will keep me entertained for ages:
Analog gas, instead of just the on/off button. Manual transmissions. I know these weren't in the original since it was a PSP game. However, if I could casually drive around the island, running in the gear I choose and rolling into the throttle, I'd be very very happy. Oh, they could add some more cars (KEEP the in-car view), a bunch more of the longer races, and tweak the graphics a little. I like the idea about day/night, weather (I'd really like to see some snow on the higher mountains), and the option of stopping for gas -- not needed but a dork like me would enjoy it.

I'd like stopping for gas too, but everyone else would hate it
If you're talking about the PSP version, analog throttles aren't possible as the button is digital. It is of course possible on PS2 though -------------------

I think the PS2 version is just a PSP port, yes? So I'd guess the controls are the same. I do wish they'd have made that little change when moving it from the PSP to the PS2, though.

360 port? Really? The 360 version doesn't have an analog gas pedal or manual gear set-up? If that's true, I'd really have to wonder about the 360 games. That would just be *** weak.

quote spikerdudeNo no no that's not true at all. I don't think either of them are ports. The PC is a port of the 360 one, but the PS2 and PSP versions were developed independently by Melbourne House, a company situated in Melbourne Australia. They weren't ports, they were different versions built on the same premise and name. Maybe that makes them ports, but I think that's different. I don't think the PSP or PS2 versions are ports, either of them. They were both made simultaneously. Man I remember the day I found out TDU was coming to PSP. It seemed so fantastic, and to bring it to PSP was awesome. I was sitting here, on a seat you can't quite see, reading my friend's PC Powerplay magazine. -------------------

re: Improvements you would make |
quote brycepunk But they have way better cars. More races, clothes, and a lot more. I think it uses one of the triggers for gas. As for shifting, idk. The game wasn't even supposed to come to sony consoles, they talked them into ps2 and psp, but not ps3, as it would make the 360 sales less.... I think. ------------------- "Light travels faster than sound. This is why some people appear bright before you hear them speak"
