You can do it in the friend screen can't you? Isn't there an option, in the button listings at the bottom of the screen?

Cool. I've only played online twice... First time i was just cruisin' around in my Mustang GT, when i encountered someone(forgot his name) driving a Koenigsegg. I won the first race, but lost the second one against him...
