Digimon Analyzation Thread

Hello, welcome to the Digimon Anylization Thread, where we anylize Digimon (duh). Here you can find information on traits, techniques, and stratagies for Digimon.

How to use the thread:
You may only post an anlyzation of a Digimon if you are part of the D.A.T. (Digimon Anylization Team).

Gryphonmon:

Traits: Gryphonmon's traits, Heroic Move, Silphy Air, Sleep Ward4, Critical4, and the Support Ability Speed Up5, are pretty good traits, but not incredible. Heroic Move makes Gryphonmon a wonderful specialist, or a Digimon who attacks with moderately powerful attacks with tremendous speed. Silphy Air adds to the already beefed-up Wind-attack defense system, making Gryphonmon a great choice to send in against Wind spammers. Sleep Ward4 won't help you much, because you can't inflict sleep over wi-fi(?), but is a good in-game trait. Critical4 makes Gryphonmon deadly with the power to boost the chances of a critical hit. Speed Up5 helps when you have a tank like JumboGamemon, with not much speed, by boosting the stat.

Techniques: Well there is not much choice here, considering Gryphonmon is the only Mega in its evolution line. Royal Claw is a great attack, with 109 power. You might want to take Meteor Fall from Birdramon's techinque plate, but the tequniche is weak compared to others. Spiral Claw is a good, one-zone attack to inflict some good damage. TopGun Bomb isn't as useful as SPSonic Voice, considering it is fixed ranged, but it is more powerful than SPSonicVoice.

Overall: Gryphonmon is a great specialist with some decent traits. He deserves to be Upper Class.

Chaosmon:

(Holy)

Traits:
Heroic Heart, Heroic Move, Assassin, Gladiator
This digimon is made to be a killer. Assasin increases the chance of getting critical hits significantly, while Gladiator greatly increases damage dealt. Heroic Move is godly for Metagame since it adds 30 to a digimon's SPD. Heroic Heart increases SPR by 30 - another addition to damage. Equipped with equipments that raises its SPD more (such as Ultimate Ring) will make sure that Chaosmon can move before any other digimon, giving your team the first hit. If equipped with ATK-boosting equipment, there's a chance that you can even kill a digimon in your first turn, before your opponent even gets a chance to retaliate. The only weakness that this digimon has is status ailments, but that can always be covered with the other team members with support role(s).

Techniques:
Signature - Banchou Blade [Light Element, MP 129, Effect 145, (xx0xx) Selectable]
This is a DNA-only digimon. You can only get it through DNA Digivolutions using these combinations: Darkdramon+Bantyo Leomon, Darkdramon+Valdurmon, Valdurmon+Banchou Leomon.
Note the Darkdramon. There are 3 Megas in Darkdramon's line - Goldramon, Justimon, and Darkdramon itself. Goldramon can learn Flash Punch (the strongest Earth-elemental attack, attacks 3x, 102 power). You can also get Chaos Blast from Darkdramon, a decent Dark-elemental attack. Add that with Justimon's Laser Edge and Hyper Tornado - decent Metal and Wind elemental attacks. And of course, its own signature Light-based attack.
Note that you can also get this digimon through matching, but that would limit its techniques.

Verdict: This is definitely a Top Tier digimon. The traits, backed up with one really strong attack (Flash Punch - Earth) combined with some decent elemental attacks (Dark, Metal, Wind, Light elementals) makes Chaosmon one of the most feared digimon in Metagame. A digimon with 5 decent-to-good different elemental attacks should always be feared =)

Apollmon:

Traits:
Apollomon sports some pretty good traits on his flaming body. Let's just hope they don't burn p in the heat...

Heroic Power adds 30 to Apollomon's attack, making him an excellent striker, or a Digimon who can hit hard, but not with as much speed as specialists. This trait combined with his signature technique, Sol Blaster, makes him deadly.

Heroic Heart adds 30 to the flame dude's spirit, making him more of a striker.

Flame Aura increases Apollomon's resistance to Fire attacks, so send him in against Flame spammers to ruin your opponents day.

Gladiator makes Apollomon even more like the God he was named after. This dude needs to be a striker. Gladiator adds to the damage Apollomon can deal, leaving your opponents burnd with his Sol Blaster.

Techniques:

After seeing the traits, I bet yu can't wait to see the moves, right? Well...

Apollomon is the only Mega in his line, and he cannot be DNA Digivolved (thanks a lot Bandai), so that leaves him with some very limited technique options.

His signature technique is fanastic, however. Sol Blaster is a three zone selectable Fire move with 158 Power, and consuming 202 MP. Burst Counter, well gives the counter effect to allies in three zones (selectable, x000x), and that can be helpful. God Knuckle (xx00x, Selectable [116 power, 160 MP]) is a good move, but almost identical to its superior, Burst Flame (xx00x, selectable [137 power, 193 MP]). Celestial Cross is a good technique, considering Apollomon gets a boost when he uses Holy techniques.

Overall:

Two words: Top Tier. Couple amazing traits with good moves, and you have a top tier Digimon.

Traits

Heroic Heart, Evasion Dance, Assassin Sense, Confuse Barrier

While these traits aren't the best that you can get in a Digimon, Heroic Heart, Evasion Dance, and Assassin Sense help make Lilithmon a strong choice. Heroic Heart gives Lilithmon a large boost in spirit, while Assassin Sense greatly improves her chance of landing a critical hit. Combine that with her strong evasion rate thanks to Evasion Dance, and you have got a Digimon ready to kill. And also one that is resistant to confusion.

Techniques

Signature - Phantom Pain [Dark Element, MP 158, Effect 126, (x000x) Selectable, Causes Confusion]
Lilithmon is in a line of 4 Megas, so there is a wide array of attacks to choose from. Make sure to get Chaos Blast from VenomVamdemon and God Knuckle (for some variation in it's moveset) from Pharaohmon. Demon Blast is a very powerful attack, and is especially useful since it hits all 5 enemy areas. Dark Helping Hand will help round out your Lilithmon's versatile movepool.

Verdict

Lilithmon is a varied Digimon. Having a versatile In-Training Digimon makes for a very versatile movepool, and in the end creates a top tier Digimon.

Heroic Power, Heroic Guard, God's Eye, Economizer
This digimon is made to be a Long term fighter. Economizer decreases the amount of MP used so more attacks more MP to use (MORE DAMAGE), while Heroic Power adds 30 to a digimon's ATK. Heroic Guard is awesome for Metagame since it adds 30 to a digimon's DEF which would be hard to penetrate. God's Eye increases accuracy by an outstanding amount. Equipped with Items that raises its ATK and DEF will make sure that it can attack and defend its self better than most digimon, giving your team a well balanced killer. If equipped with SPD-boosting equipment, there's a chance that you could kill a digimon, which would be breaking down your opponent's strategy (duh). ImperialdramonFM is weak to Water elemental moves. It's not too strong against Dark elementals either. And then there's the issue of status ailments.

Techniques:
Learned moves(By Matching):

- Rising Ray
- Double Dragon Claw
- Shining Ray
- Burst Flame
Signature move:
Giga Death (Metal Element)
MP 188, Effect 142, (00000) Fixed

It's moves are incredible and come as you level up. Burst Flame is the top Fire learnable move and will most likely take out any beast that's weak to Flames. As Rising Ray(strongest Metal Move)attacks twice so it's sure to kill those that are weak to Metal. It's Signature move is good just like Rising Ray but some opponents like to spread their digimon apart and since this attacks all zones what is there to worry about unless you see a weak point on your side of the team then go with another move to stop that immediately.

Verdict: This is defiantly a Top Tier digimon. The traits, are made for fighting long term battles especially Economizer in Metagame that rocks! This digimon has the strongest Fire and Metal learnable moves – Burst Flame & Shining Ray. Why wouldn't this digimon be feared in Metagame

Marine Angemon:

(Water)

Traits:
Fog Coat, Run Away 4, God of Luck, Healing Aura
These are good traits for a support digimon in your reserve team, especially if you don't have Calumon. God of Luck increases experience gain by 12%. Run Away 4 increases your chance to flee from battles. If you decide to bring it into your main team, it's also good as a support digimon, using its Healing Aura which increases the amount of HP recovered by healing moves to keep your team's HP up.

Techniques:
Signature - Ocean Love [ Water Element - MP 135, Effect 119, x000x) Selectable, Inflicts Sleep]
Aside from its signature move, it also learns Ocean Wave (2nd strongest 5-zone Water attack) and Water of Life (best revive move). It can also learn Nanomech Heal - heal & status recovery (KingChessmon), Royal Blizzard (strongest 5-zone Water attack), and Royal Cannon (strongest 5-zone Holy attack) - all of which come from Superstarmon's lines.

Verdict: If you take the time and make MarineAngemon through DNA instead of normal digivolution, it can acquire good moves from Superstarmon (DNA with Monzaemon). All in all, this digimon better serves as a support digimon in metagame using its innate high speed and Water of Life for reviving. I put it in the Middle Class, because of its low survival chance in metagame when pitched against high-attack digimon.

Seraphimon

(Holy)

Traits

Heroic Heart, Angel's Glory, All Element, Healing Aura

Seraphimon has great traits. Heroic Heart boosts it's Spirit, and All Element gives it an advantage with the added Defense. Angel's Glory is a bit unnecessary when paired with All Element, but Seraphimon becomes basically immune to all Holy attacks when both come together. Healing Aura rounds out his traits, increasing the effects of healing moves.

Techniques

Signature - 7 Heavens [Light Element, MP 199, Effect 146, (00000) Fixed]
Seraphimon has a great Signature move, one that's both powerful and has a wide range. Not only that, but it learns Final Heal, which heals all Digimon in the party by 1500 (and that's without Healing Aura). Other than that attack, Seraphimon has a relatively small library of attacks, having an average set of moves for himself and the option of RavemonBM's moves. I would get Heaven's Thunder and God Cannon along with another attack like Starlight Ex, although Seraphimon's options are pretty limited. Still, for what he has Seraphimon can really put a dent in their team, even though he should be used as a healer on your team.

Verdict

Seraphimon is a very straightforward Digimon. It is great as a healer since it is pretty durable, and its traits go perfectly with its role as a supporter on your team. It is definitely a top-tier Digimon as a Healer, but as an attacker, it wouldn't be able to hold its own, even with its powerful Signature move.

SaberLeomon:

SaberLeomon is said to be an ancient ancestor of the frequently appearing Digimon anime character, Leomon.

Traits:

Heroic Heart adds 30 to SaberLeomon's spirit, and Heroic Move adds 30 to his speed. Both are great traits that make SaberLeomon a good choice for a striker. Critical 4 is great in the metagame, making critical hits a lot more common. Gladiator adds to the damage SaberLeomon can do, making him a what's that word, kids? "Striker, Uncle Ben!" That's right kids! SaberLeomon can even tear his way through Earth walls! "wow!"

Techniques:

SaberLeomon is blessed with being one of five megas in Wanyamon's line.

A recommended set for SaberLeomon would be:

Super Striker:

Flash Punch[3 hits, 00x00, selectable, 190 MP, 102 Power]{From Vikemon}
Best Whack[1 hit, 0xxxx, selectable, 170 MP, 141 Power]{from MirageGogamon Burst Mode}
Dbl Crescent[1 hit, xx0xx, fixed 116 MP, 128 power]{From Mirage Goagamon Burst Mode}
Starlight EX[1 hit, xxxxx, fixed, 197 MP, 138 Power]{from MirageGogamon Burst Mode}

Almost all the moves in this set come from MirageGoagamon Burst Mode, but he has a very good movepool. Flash Punch can be obtained from Vikemon, who can be obtained from DNA Digivolving Mirage Goagamon Burst Mode.

Verdict:
Top. Tier. Couple awesome traits and great moves and you get top-tier.

Wow. This dude is small, and is heavily pixelated. But does the miniature old-school Digimon have what it takes to be used competitively?

Traits:

Heroic Move gives DotMirageGaogamon +30 speed, which certainly has its uses. All Elements increases resistance to all types of attacks, making him a good candidate for a wall. Economizer S cuts down MP consumption, which is nice, considering DMGaogamon's signature attack takes 193 MP. Status Barrier is voids all status disorders, which is a incredible trait. The support ability, Attack Up5, is also "Very nice!" as Uncle Borat would say. Overall, DMGaogamon has great traits, and has a choice between being a wall or an expert.

Techniques:

OmegaR Force [x000x, selectable, 120 MP, 130 Power] is a decent move, and should not be passed up. 01 Crusher [xx0xx, selectable, 187 MP. 92 Power] can be obtained from the movepool of SkullMammothmon, and is the most powerful Dark-type move, as it hits 3 times, and induces paralyzation. Also Royal Claw [xx00x, selectable,152 MP, 109 power] is a good two-zone twice hitting attack from DMGaogamon's parent, MirageGaogamon. Also, you might want to get Purification [00000, fixed, 135 MP, --- power] Heals all HP and status disorders for all your allies, and comes from Babamon. Also, Gate Claw, DMGaogamon's sig, is a powerful technique, but with a 193 MP cost. Luckily, it is cut down by the Economizer S trait.

Verdict:
Despite his size and looks, DMGaogamon is a top-tier Digimon, he is a great wall, and a possible expert. The traits are amazing, and he has a lot of technique options.

Pointing out a grammatical error, because I'm anal like that.

Should be "...Heals HP and all Status disorders..."

Aaaand it's Gale Claw, not Gate Claw. He's actually among my favorites for that move, except he's annoying to look at. ._.

And, I decided to state the moves that I thought best for him. It's really a matter of opinion. I don't like Dbl Crescent 'cause it's fixed.

Darkdramon:

Traits:
Heroic Power, Heroic Move, Dark Veil, Assassin

This digimon is made to be a quick killer. Heroic move granting 30 speed and Assassin granting more criticals = a dead digimon quickly. The heroic power helps out in the damage department while dark veil adds on to his resistance against a dark digimon. His sig may not be all that great but it can rid you of those pestky holy digmon. With more equipment towards power and speed, he's sure to be the first to strike and the first to kill.

Techniques:
Learned moves:
- Flash Punch (Goldramon)
- Royal Slash (If you want to take the trouble from ImperialPM)
- Burst Breath
- Laser Blade
Signature move:
Gigastick L (Dark Element)
MP 131, Effect 142, (xx0xx) Selectable

It has a variety of moves and from many different kinda of elements to choose from. The strongest Earth based move from Goldramon(Flash Punch). If you feel like doing some DNA digivolutions, Shinning Ray and Royal Slash are perfect from the Imperialdramon PM and FM. And his fire based moves can come from his regular line of Digimon.

Verdict: This is without a doubt a top tier digimon. Heroic move and Assassin are perfect for metagame for quick killing digimon. Dark Veil and Heroic power helps also but not as much as the others. And with its wide variety of elemental moves, its perfect to battle almost any kind of Digimon.
