I can't figure out who the 3rd person i need to talk to is to get Percival's Password for the shortcut... anyone know??

Do you mean the shepherdess? You need to go to the second floor, then go to the steps. As you're walking down, you'll see her painting (or she might call out to you). Talk to her for the password.

Yes i meant the shepardess, but she's not "on the 2nd floor" as teh professor's portrait says, she's on the 2nd landing near the greenhouses. and I figured it out finally, but thank you.
