It is good, but I do not recommend buying this game at the price it cost. Go out and rent it or wait till it goes down to like 20 or 30 dollars. It is way to easy and short. You can get 1000/1000 achievement points for this game in the five days you rent it. Even though it is pretty fun, just to short to buy it at its pirce.

I went dirrectly to HARD difficulty and have 100% the game and have yet to recieve the complete on hardest difficulty achievement. I really enjoyd this game but not enough to play all the way through again. Do I have to talk to someone or do they expect you to beat it on med. then hard. P.S. Best part of the game is Hogwarts is completely intact.

Hm. Loaded question.
I'm a HUGE Harry Potter fan, so I bought the game (along with Dead Rising) as one of my first Xbox 360 games. Unfortunately, I really am regretting having paid $60 for it.
First of all, the controls are pretty clunky. Getting Harry to do an about-face is often more difficult than keeping Laura Croft from falling off a cliff in the first few Tomb Raider games. The camera controls itself much of the time (to allow you to take in the sights of the GARGANTUAN Hogwarts castle). So, when you're going from one area to another, you might end up walking back to where you came from.
Ron and Hermione follow you around for practically the whole game without reason. They often get in the way, especially in tight-winding stairs that are common in the castle.
It is very easy, almost too easy. Like was said, you'll reap all your due Gamerpoints very quickly and without much effort.
And if you're into big action games, this might not be for you. Now, unless you instigate battles, they JUST WON'T HAPPEN! This isn't "Bully" (yes, it might feel a bit like it), so you won't have bullies or prefects running after you all the time. The game is largely self-driven, meaning you'll have full access to the castle to do what you gotta do (and if you don't do what you gotta do, then you won't beat the game). There's no platforming action (like, you won't be jumping from crate to crate-- you'll have to pile the crates, then press the analog stick forward to climb clumsily on top of the crate)
But I can't leave this thread without noting the positive. The music is amazing. The character animations are tremendously believable (the face-mapping was flawless). The environment is beautiful. The side quests are pretty fun. The spell-casting is done pretty well. That's the good stuff, in a nutshell.
So, rent it - don't buy it. This game's a gamble, but it satisfied me (albeit for a short period of time).
