Hi all.

I'm at the final boss and my guys are level 55 or so. My characters are Fighter, Monk, Red Wizard, and Black Wizard.

I'm having an impossible time beating Chaos and I'm wondering if this is due to an inability to cast spells that heal the entire group.

I do alright for a little while and then I just deteriorate to the point where all I'm doing is casting Curaga with the Red Wizard and using HI-Potions with all the other guys.
Gradually my guys start dying, and then when Chaos casts Haste on himself he just kicks my ass.

Is it impossible to beat the game without a White Mage?

It's not impossible, or they wouldn't have given you the option to take her out.

But the game can be very hard if you choose the "wrong" parties.

I suggest getting a weapon that can use a Heal spell when used as an item.

Could you name such a weapon? Thanks.

Would it be wise for me to leave the chaos shrine and try to go up several more levels and then try to beat him? I still haven't completed the optional quests.

*well i know some weapons it's healing staff and rune staff
healing staff casts heal when used and rune staff casts healara when used

*also there's a healing helm it casts heal when used

*from what i can say defeating Chaos is easier than the Extra Dungeons since all Boss stages there is insane hard if your level is low.

I think GrEyCrEsT named all of the weapons, though there may be a few more out there.

Level grinding is always a good idea when you're stuck.

Have you considered trying the equipment glitch? It's on this forum called "BEST. GLITCH. EVER."
