Has anyone else had problems with controling your players while running the bases. I'll hit a ball to the gap, an easy double for an average speed hitter, and yet they'll get to first, round it, and come to a stop, and i have to keep pressing L1 just to get them to go. But the obvious pause has cost me a lot of extra base hits and which have usually resulted in outs tring to get to second.

i always have problems on that.

Yes I have always had problems with that. I would hit the ball so that it would be an extra base hit and I would hit L1 like 10,000 times and it would always screw me up resulting in an out.

I've played the three different baseball games that are out there (MLB07, 2k7, MVP07), and I have to say that the MVP series has by far the best baserunning controls. you select the runner with whatever button (i played mostly the xbox versions of MVP) and then press the directional button of what base you wanted the runner to stop at.

I think thats the best way of controling the runners, instead of having to press the L1 everytime the runner passes a base.

yeah MVP07 is college. still not that great of a game but the baserunning controls are way nicer. hell before this game came out, i'd been playing MVP05 for 3 years.

it had something to do with SEGA and Sony getting 3rd party rights to the MLB and MLBPA. kind of a retaliation to EA for buying the rights to the NFL.

but i agree with you, MVP was the best game out there. now we have to settle with the lesser of two evils.

but anyways, i've kind of got the hang of running the bases, once the player gets one step past the base is when you hit the L1 to make him advance. still having difficulty with more than one runner.

you have to move the left stick to the direction of the base runner and press the base.L1 is to move ALL the players
