I only use bows so I hope we get some cool new ones.

I'm pretty sure we'll be seeing new sets of weapons. They always have the whole set of full armor, shortsword, bow, longsword, dagger, mace, battle axe, and war axe.

They better. I am still pissed off at the fact that they didn't add any unique bows in the original.

Oh, hey, does anyone know if the crafting system is the only way to get unique weapons in SI, or are there going to be other ones already located around the Realm of Madness?

I think so and i hope that the forging is not the only way to get special/ unique items thats what turned me off dungeon diving because there was no chance that it held lore items ones from the book Tamrelic Lore or the shopping list as i call it.

will there be stronger bows in a way that they actually shoor farther?

I don't believe firing distance is affected by the type of bow, only the power of the strike power...

Anyhow, after too big a distance, the game has problems registering impacts I imagine...

Anyhow, I've hit people outside the draw distance (no zoom in)...so thats good enough

but it would be much better if u could upgrade ur bows with a tighter bowstring to make it harder...but u will need to be a master to use it..

Have you guys read the review on IGN (I posted the link on the news sticky thread at the top of the forum.)

In the review, he states that you can get blacksmiths to create weapons & armour (so I'm guessing this includes bows) and can make very powerful enchantments via a 'matrix stone' ( I guess they have random enchantments like sigil stones.) He said they were really cool to look at as well as being very powerful.

Yep, I heard about new craftables, and I figured bows would be included, but I wonder i they have any set bows, like how Umbra and the Daedric Staves are all set weapons, or the staff of worms.

For me, that was onw big dissapointment with Oblivion. There just weren't enough 'named' weapons in the game. Apart from Umbra & Goldbrand all the others were just random and didn't really 'feel' special. I hope dawn/duskfang is cool! I'mnot an archer but I hope you guys get some named bows too.

I think there are new bows because some of the Grummites use them but I don't use bows so I haven't really looked at the names. I would think they are new because the Grummites use "Grummite Cudgels" and a crappier versions of those called "Crude Grummite Cudgel" as well, along with their own shields.

Meh, its not really what Im looking for. Maybe if there was just one Grummite bow, but... Its not as special. Like taking a black bow from the bandits. sure, its a unique bow, but there are still others out in the world, so... its not as kick ass.

The different bows might be later on because I looked at one after killing a Grummite and it was just an iron bow, but they use different arrows. I'm not far at all so you can get your hopes up for some unique bows.

Yes, there is a new bow. Not sure if its a spolier or not but what ever.
