That sick feeling |
|
Doesn't anyone feel sick after playing this game?
Maybe its my weak stomach, or the extremeness of this game or maybe the shaking screen this game has whenever your walking. Seriously, whenever I play 15 mins of this game I feel all sick for some reason. Also, why is this game's camera angle so hard to control? Unlike GTA, its pretty hard to look around. ------------------- My Morning Jacket » I'm Amazed

I imagine that the camera is hard to control because the game on the PS2 was designed exactly the same way it is on the PSP to accomodate for the lack of a second analog stick on that crappy handheld.
As for feeling sick, this game is quite brutal, and unless you can watch movies like Hostel, Saw and High Tension no problem (and maybe even laugh like I do during some of the more violent scenes), then this game isn't for you. It could also be motion sickness (as the camera blur doesn't help either), but keep the lights on when you're playing the game or take some Dramamine before playing.

Having the lights on really helps me. The first time I played it in the dark, I started vomiting minutes after.
Also, I don't have any major problems when it comes to brutality. I watch SAW with ease although I tend to find the extreme parts of SAW disturbing. I think the reason of my dizziness after the game is the camera angle. I've played other violent games such as Hitman with executions similar to this game's but I don't get migraines after it. ------------------- My Morning Jacket » I'm Amazed

Then you're probably part of the minority of videogame players who get sick just because of the camera movement. Talk to a doctor about it, since it has to do with your eyes.

Glad to see the game seem well Oh the camera issues are meant to be that way. They made them hard to move for the fact that they want the camera behind the character a lot of the time to keep the eerie and spooky feeling.

Vivitar: these game types are the same to me. I can't say I laugh, but I sure cuss out the hunter when he dies. I still haven't purchased this yet though, so I can't say anything about MH2. I know MH1 wasn't nasty enough.

quote VivitarYeah, honestly I don't find this game very bad at all. Dead Rising and Gears of War, and countless other games seem more vioent to me. I like the stealth gameplay and the approach though. I really don't like the half assed gunfights at allthough and unfortunatly about a third or so of this game seems to be based on them. Manhunt 1 seems more brutal from what I've seen of it, but they didn't have that one at Gamestop. Naturally... ------------------- ![]() "Lord, please grant me the power to psychologically torture these children into loving you!"

I like Saw, but I feel nautious after watching that. But Manhunt? I've never played Manhunt 2 yet so it might be different, but its not that gruesome. The blood is to cartoony, idk, its just not the same... hard to explain

quote FlamemaneTheDemonicYeah, if you didn't fell sick after seeing the 1st one you definatly won't for the second. The censors block out much of the good stuff. And I agree with you about the way the blood looked in the first one. The blood still doesn't look great in this one but it isn't really bad either. It's just...inconsistent. In some cases when there shouldn't be any (why the hell does blood splatter when a guy gets kicked in the balls) there is a lot. And sometimes when there should be a ton (I'm talking to you, gruesome shovel execution) there isn't any. ------------------- ![]() "Lord, please grant me the power to psychologically torture these children into loving you!"
