	I think they'll go bust. They wern't an enticing business prospect as they were in the SPL, and now they're in an even worse position having been relegated. Only a seriously die-hard gretna fan would consider buying them now. -------------------

	Never happy to see a club go bust -- but this is the exception. I hate Gretna with a passion. This living the dream pish was ridiculous, they had major financial investment and paid wages that couldn't be matched by other teams in the SFL. They steamrolled their way to the SPL and made the Scottish Cup final without coming up against SPL opposition, and it was sickening to hear all these comments about "Gretna's fairytale." All Mileston wanted to do at Gretna was get them to the SPL, after that, his mission was complete and it was time for him to pull the plug. Now look at them, it's a sorry state of affairs and I sympathise with those who lost their jobs, but I have no symapthy for the club as a whole. Glad to see them back in the Third Division, but they need punted out pronto. Congratulations to Airdrie Utd (& Stranraer), but I think you'll find it too tough next year. I'd expect you lot to finish bottom, you'll really have to plunge into the transfer market with Russell going. Don't like the fans at all, there's a strong contingent of nazi scum in there, but Gnels you're one of the good 'uns so good luck for next season. -------------------

	GRETNA ARE OUTTA HERE quote BBC Administrators at Gretna FC have said they feel the Raydale Park side has ceased to exist as a football club. The only interested party in taking over the team has withdrawn its offer. David Elliot from administrators Wilson Field said he expected the Scottish Football League to expel the side within a "matter of days". He has concluded that the club could not continue as a business and would be unable to guarantee it could complete league fixtures next year. Gretna went into administration in March this year with debts of about �4m after backer Brooks Mileson withdrew his support. Last week the SFL relegated the club to Division Three. Mr Elliot said he would now look to market the Raydale Park ground "outside football". "I had one offer on the table which I decided at that late stage I would pursue," he explained. "The prospective purchaser had produced a business plan based on First Division football and so he has formally withdrawn his offer. "Effectively we are still technically in the Third Division but I can't complete fixtures next season." He said he had informed the SFL of that situation and expected them to expel the club soon. Financial mess "The problem with this club is it started off in 1946 with a group of ex-servicemen coming back from World War Two setting up a village football team," said Mr Elliot. "Then a few years ago Mr Mileson took over and injected a lot of money into the club and it enjoyed a lot of success on the football pitch. "But if you take away the benefactor - the person supplying the money - then financially you have a real mess." A number of clubs have already expressed an interest in taking their place in Division Three. Spartans, Annan Athletic, Preston Athletic and Cove Rangers are all preparing applications for their spot. Personally I would like to see Cove Rangers given a shot in the SFL. Glasgow, Edinburgh and even Dundee have multiple clubs in the Scottish Leagues and it would be great for Aberdeen to have too. The potential for a local rivalry which features a team closer than 70 miles away would be good. Cove also have a decent set up. They were close to getting in when Gretna were originally let in and just recently won the Highland league and have plans for a new stadium and training complex in place. They also have a potential fan base to exploit and support them unlike Gretna. -------------------

	That's Gretna now officially out of the SFL. Good. Now here's the break-down of dates for another team to get in: 12th June - Deadline for teams to apply. 27th June - SFL Management Committee visit each club that has applied. 3rd July - Clubs are invited to present their plans to all 29 SFL members in a Special General Meeting at Hampden. They will then vote on this day, who is to join the SFL. I've not got a particular favourite, of course Spartans are the one most folk will know because of their cup run a few years back, but I'd be fine with Annan Athletic, Preston Athletic or Cove Rangers to be honest. At least it's not Gretna. -------------------

	RIP Gretna Football Club, a real shame to me. Some of you may share different views, in fact all of you, but I for one feel sorry for the few loyal fans in particular. I know a lot of people who were in Gretna's academy, and it is a shame for them. And a few people need to get their facts right. Mileson never left, he is severly ill and simply had to withdraw his support as he couldn't get the money to the club. RIP ------------------- Credit: SCFC FTW MAL!
