quote FortePenanceYep they'd compliment each other almost as well as Giggs/Beckham. Oh and for the topic, King IS a better defender than Rio. He's quality.

Foster is a good keeper, but hes not Man Utd quality...especially when you have keepers like Schmeichel and Van der Sar to live up too.

re: Transfers and Rumours |
quote Dan_bugI'm still undecided about Foster, he's had some games where he has been quality and produced match winning performances. No doubt he's been shaky this season but its his 1st season at a top level club with a good run of games behind him. With experience he could become Utd class, not in VDS or Schmeichel's league but lets face it, who is ?

Tottenham are looking at making a 6m bid for George Boyd.
I knew he would make the big time.

From what my dad told me I thought he'd make lower Prem. Where's your source for the Tottenham link?

LOL that is a ridiculous rumour.
George Boyd is not worth £6M, even if he is the 'White Pele' as my mates call him. He doesn't have the pace to succeed in the EPL. And Tottenham already have Kranjcar and Modric. They don't need another player of this kind. ------------------- Faith in Grant "We're going broke, who gives a *bleep*, 'cause super Pompey, are staying up!"

Didn't realise he was a midfielder, but anyway Paul Scholes never had much pace.

I thought Boyd was a striker? Scores a few goals too. But for £6m. Christ on a bike. I don't think anybody in the Championship is worth £6m tbh.

I like George Boyd. He's a pretty decent player, but why would he want to come and sit on the bench at Spurs? Madness I tells ya, but he might turn out to be sensational.
As for the pace thing, who cares? Sheringham had no pace. ------------------- Don't act like you're not impressed.

re: Transfers and Rumours |

Beckham had some pace when he played in England. Scholes is the kind of player who is so talented he can get away with it (similarly like Lampard) and Sheringham wasn't a midfielder. It's different in attack and defence, but in the Premier League 95% of the time you need pace to be a successful player.
I've never seen Boyd as a striker with McLean or Mackail-Smith as Peterborough's strike force. He plays a bit deeper or on the left I thought? ------------------- Faith in Grant "We're going broke, who gives a *bleep*, 'cause super Pompey, are staying up!"
