quote Myconnot making this a Liverpool thing but how about our last 3 three games against United, where we have outplayed, out-thought-, out-fought or use any superlative you want to describe how we totally and utterly domianted you. quote Myconthat was different, Arsenal actually played well in that game and were somewhat unlucky and possessed attacking threat. You didnt. quote MyconAnelka,Lampard,Joe cole (when he came on) Ivanovic and Cole.

quote SecretLegendPhysical yes. But he can make some scruffy tackles. One reason why i think the free kick was given. He got the ball, but went in what seemed to hard and took Cole with it. Debatable/questionnable without doubt. But if the shoe were on the other foot and it were Essien doing the same as Fletcher i've no doubt all those moaning that it wasn't a free kick would have said it woulda been a free kick. -------------------

Hmph
I really wasn't expecting anything from the game before hand but I really am gutted now. We played so much better than I expected, at the best of times annuled their midfield diamond, especially Deco who may aswell not turned up. Brown & Evans were fantastic, totally different players to against Moscow. Valencia always gives his all, just needs to work on the end product but did well tracking back and helping out the defence, unlike Ronaldo. Anderson did ok IMO and Fletcher was his usual self, plus being unlucky. Carrick was shit, as he has been all this season. Rooney tried and was unlucky not to score. Obertan needs to start more, always impresses when coming on and put a spark into the game. Decisions? We didn't play brilliantly but I thought we matched Chelsea and even bettered them, oh well, onwards and upwards ------------------- ![]() D A U G H T R Y

quote luisgarciaisgodAnd? quote Mycon quoteThey weren't playing Chelsea in Stamford Bridge. We possessed near as much threat as Barcelona did tbh. But anyway a good, not great performance against Chelsea away resulting in not winning does not represent mediocrity like you are suggesting. quote luisgarciaisgodI wouldn't call Ivanovic a threat, John O'Shea was as much of a threat. Ashley Cole? He was defending all game. You're clutching at straws when you have to use defenders. Evra had more play than Cole in this match. ------------------- Is maith liom Gaeilge.

Typical dirty United in the last twenty minutes, glad we picked the win up today after how many fouls they did and got away with but also it is nice to see a decision going against United for once, yet they always complain when it is a decision against them but when it is in their favour it is totally different, typical Manchester United fans though, hey?
Got to say though the referee did terrible for lots of decisions for and against us but overall really pleased about the result and being five points clear. D ------------------- ![]()

quote Myconyou asked for examples where i could praise my team from the last couple of years, Ive given you some. quote Myconbut i doubt that Barcelona fans were banging on about how well they played after the game at Stamford Bridge. For team that is supposed to be the biggest in the world and is going for an unprecedented 4th title in a row, i find it quite surprising that the support universally seem to be praising a performance that was devoid of attacking threat. My idea of a good United performance would be Turin in 99 or to a lesser extent WHL a few weeks ago. Not today

There is rough tackles and fouls, it seems Man Utd fans don't know the difference until it is against them then it is the excuse for the loss.

quote BreezeThe twitching was hilarious. quote Man Utd Fan 123To be honest I'm not that gutted about it. If we played poorly then I'd be raging but we matched them on their own turf, it's only november and we're a mere five points behind. I felt Chelsea lost some of that air of invincibility. quote DecTypical ABUism. Always quick to jump on any decision that goes United's way but blind as a bat when the shoe's on the other foot, and believe me, the shoe is very often on the other foot. I think it's hilarious that opposition fans are so quick to jump down any United fan's throat for having the 'audacity' to feel a sence of injustice when a poor refereeing decision goes against us. It's blatant hypocracy. ------------------- Young, black, handsome, just a touch of pretention...

I'm always more gutted when we lose and don't deserve to, if we lose cos we play shit, like against Liverpool, then it's fair enough
