Worth buying?

I just finished playing DMC1 and I really enjoyed it (not my fav game but still vry good) i was doing sum research on dmc2 and apparently it's not THAT good. Is it worth buying or should i just get DMC3 (special edition)?

re: Worth buying?

If you go into DMC2 from DMC1, you'll likely be disappointed. The combat is average-boring, the areas are far too open and it's very easy to wander for around for minutes or even hours at a time, the voice acting/storyline is pretty mediocre, and if you liked the challenge of DMC1, don't expect it to be here.

Enemies can easily be skipped, and even if you don't skip them they're rather boring/easy to fight. Lucia's disk is just a cheap gimmick to increase replay value, she controls very similarly to Dante, and her missions are almost exactly the same, with very few differences here and there. Overall, just skip this and go straight to DMC3SE, because unless you'd like to have every game in the series, it's really not worth buying, and it's barely worth renting.

re: Worth buying?

If you can get it for like, $10 (or £10, depending where you live) or less, I'd say it's worth it, it won't be as much fun as DMC1 or 3, but it's got some value to it .

re: Worth buying?

If you enjoyed DMC then get number 2. Don't let reviews put you off, it is a very good game. That may just be because i am a big fan of the franchise. It is worth getting for under $20.

Basically people say its crap, as they changed the fighting structure, but once learned it can be good.

re: Worth buying?

Yes, you should. It might not be the best game in the world, but it's a bloody fun hack an slash at that, and has the choice of eather character too which kinda rocks.

re: Worth buying?

Its worth buying it. Not as action-paced and full of attitude like the 1st, but i would suggest buying it. Doesnt cost too much either these days.

re: Worth buying?

Der_di_das it's very worth buying I have the game myself and the first one I have yet to buy the third DMC game which I'm hoping to buy sometime soon and that will only leave the 4th DMC game which I plan on also getting for me to buy but that will be impossible but anyway don't let flippen stupid reviews squander your chance to own the 2nd Devil May Cry game believe me you won't go wrong and you'll have a ton and boatloads of fun playing it trust me I've owned the game for quite awhile now and still heck of a lotta fun to play I'm currently on the 7th mission with Lucia and the 14 mission with Dante(this is on must die mode by the way can you believe I made it that far LOL!).
