I have resolved my issue. All files are from Waccoon's site.

What I did to get my NFS to work:

1)Go to Waccoon's http://www.ninechime.com/Junk/pu/.
2)Download unofficial Waccoon 3.5 patch (pu_v35)and patch full installation of game.
4)Download pu_v35_c and copy the porsche.exe in this zip over the 3.5 patch version in the game folder.
5)Download and Win2K-XP_PU_Patch.zip and unzip into a folder.
6)Search for sbdinst.exe under start menu, search, and copy file sbdinst.exe into Win2K-XP_PU_Patch folder, and finally run PatchInstall.bat.
7)Finished.

The result is great! Very good speed but I regret how the fonts and textures in the game are not as good as when I used to have my Nvidia Vanta under Windows 98 playing this game. Hope this helps.

Issues with the game:

Some people will have problems running NFS5 even after following all of the guides because of firewalls. Try disabling any other program that is not needed before running the game. No cd should be needed. The game should be a FULL install(550megs).

I know it is boring but i cannot manage it, everything freeze when i start the race!
I have tried everything from here!

Where can i found these patch files and how can i setup them?

I did what you told about the ACT and the patches, everything went smoothly until I wanted to start the program. And error occured in the graphic settings. The program prompted that I'm using DirectX version 0 instead of DirectX 7.0. My computer has DirectX 9.0c...

I have also tried different methods and everything results in to the same DirectX problem. Have anyone else experienced these kind of problems?

I seem to have problems with Zone Industrielle and Normandie, but only in 1 direction i.e. if I race forwards, the game crashes, but backwards it doesn't. However, I downloaded new skies/tracks for them and they work fine now. I got the updates from http://www.nfscars.net/

I have this error:
The instruction at "0x6001464a" referenced memory at "0x04937684".The memory could not be "read".

Clock on OK to terminate the program
Click on CANCEL to debug the program

I am having the exact problem. Have you found a fix? I posted the problem on a separate post, and have received no replies.

Hi everybody, a few days ago i found again my NFS Porsche unleashed and i remember why i stop playing it so i start to look if there is a patch to fix the problem with xp compatibility and i found a solution here but since many years have past the link to microsoft or ntcompatible are no longer on service so i can't download or realize the proceeding described and i was wondering if anyone has any idea of where i can find it? thanx

you can play online through peer to peer we use the racinf server iplounge at www.iplounge.net you can get what you need to run online nfs porsche and high stakes
