Can anyone recommend to me the best games that are compatible with the wiimote?

I've only got enough money left to buy a points card, so I'm planning to get a classic controller at a later date.

sonic the hedgehog1, 2, or 3. and bomberman. those are good but i feel that my Wii isn't complete without super mario bros.

When you're on the shop channel will it tell you what controls are compatible for all the VC games?

Yes, If you see a wiimote than it's compatable with wiimote, if you see a gamecube controller it's compatable with that, and ect.

And GET Gunstar Heroes!

It's an amazing action title that only uses wiimote. It's good in single player and co-op. There's also Ninja Gaiden for nes- very challenging and long, but fun for such an old game.

If you have multiple controllers and a few friends, a round of Bomberman '93 will have you hooked. I would also highly recommend Gunstar Heroes.

Everything on NES, Genisis and Turbographix is wiimote compatable, and most neo- geo stuff. Super nintendo and n64 games are not- you need classic controller or gamecube controller. However, there are exceptions that vary by game.

Go for gamecube, so you can play some gamecube games too. SNES games feel better on classic controller tho. So it depends on what systems you wish to play on VC. Gamecube for N64, Classic for SNES, Wiimote for everything else is what most prople prefer.

Just be warned that with a GC controler you might fing the controls for Super Mario World and Donkey Kong County awkward.
