Welcome to the the 2008 Edition of What's New on VC?, your central hub for the Virtual Console releases and updates!

With three regions for the Virtual Console, we need to keep track of all them, especially since we know imports will be available; it will help us anticipate which titles we could possibly be getting. It was a pretty momentous day when Sin & Punishment and Super Mario Bros: The Lost Levels were announced last year.

For update schedules:
North America (NA): Mondays
Japan (JP): Tuesdays
Europe/PAL (EU): Fridays

I'm not sure when Japan and Europe go live, but all North American Virtual Console games go live every Monday, Noon EST, 9 AM PST.

The Famicom is the Japanese NES, or rather the NES is the American Famicom.
