First, I think this should be posted in the VC forum. Just ask Akira to move it in the title.
As for your answer, I'd probably go Star Tropics. I've never played it, but FFI feels really dated, plus it has remakes. ------------------- quote Me | |

FFI NES is the only way to play it as a hardtype, but if you've tried FFI before, go with Startropics.

never played or heard of star tropics, and I also spent my IC refund on final fantasy 1, and I say it's worth it.

I got FFI, not a disappointment at all. (: Not that Star Tropics isn't a good choice either, but if you've played the newer games it might be fun to see it's roots.
