Hanzo Hattori - Possible nub question

Hey guys, been scouring the wonders of the internets without much luck.

Ive been playing the DW / SW series since DW2 and ofc SW initial release, so looking around on this forum i figured it may be a good place to start to try and get an answer =) who knows i may just become a regular face..

Anyway I recently got Warriors Orochi and i have a quick question about Hanzo Hattori - His attacks, i have him on level 40+ but for the life of me his charge attacks dont seem to be high enough (his S+T only goes far as him jumping in the air and knocking the enemy down rather than following the enemy down and slicing them before they hit the ground as in SW) the same with his SS+T attack, he only swings his chain once or twice when he lands on the ground and then blasts them away. I distincly remember these attacks from SW being a lot more evolved, heck it was one reason why i loved him so much, can anyone confirm for me that this has been taken out? Or is it something ive not done...?
(didnt get Samurai Warriors 2 btw, so i dont know if it was changed in that game)
Thanks a lot

I never played SW, so I don't know how the attacks may have changed. If you're talking about moves with less power, sometimes you have to mash that triangle button at it's peak, so it does more damage. Not sure that's what you mean though..

re: Hanzo Hattori - Possible nub question

It's not the damage of the attacks im concerned about its the attack animations / number of attacks themselves.
It seems to be stuck on an intermediate level and i cant seem to get my head around it (sorry if ye cant understand trying to explain best i can)

The only way i could really get you to understand is if you have the original SW..

Thanks anyways for reply

No it hasn't changed. And if he's level 40 he should have them. You can't just hit ST. You need to his STTT or SSTTT if you want the full charge chain

After lvl 20, everyone's moveset if fully developped, so you might do something wrong yourself. Also, Hanzo doesn't have his SW1 moveset, but the SW2. So he loses a charge attack.

exactly, Hanzou hattoris jump charge is actually the only charge attack that changes dramaticily (and his TTT), have you played SW2?
