Yeah. I think Guan Yu is pretty good. His R1 special is simply rawking hard as it givs him a mega boost of attack speed.

Does anyone else's R1 give the atk speed +? It sounds like a great R1, but I dont really want to use Guan Yu just for that

I think Hideyoshi's is the only one that you can pass on to other people but yup Zuo Ci has the speedy R1 as well That makes him quite dangerous Tadakatsu Honda has a similar one to Guan Yu which does help him...but he still tends to get hit around quite a bit

I usually just stick with Hideyoshi - R1, pass the speed boost and then go mad with whoever I'm using

I prefer Hideyoshi's R1 to be used in his charge attacks, like C3 I really like the speed that Zuo Ci gets though; its definitely better than his other R1.

Yup Hideyoshi does use the speed very well - Originally I just kept it to him more often but now that he doesn't need any more training I try and pass it on a bit more His range is so good as well as his speed though, that's why I like him so much - you don't get many characters like that

Ah Zuo Ci's weird slow down ball attack thing...yeah I'm not keen - it doesn't seem to work a lot of the time in my game...Zhen Ji does a brilliant job of doing that though - credit to her for a change It's about the only thing I like about her moveset but she does it so well and it's just so fun to see everyone moving in slow motion

Guan Yu is alright but his weapon and skills aint dat bettter than some characters like tadakatsu for example. he has a sweet weapon with good attack strength and his skills are pretty much powerful. i think the characters dat are better than guan yu are:

Zhao yun
Tadakatsu Honda
Zuo ci (if u know how to use him)
Lu Bu
Orochi (of course LOL)
Keiji Maeda
Ranmaru
Pang De
Ma Chao
Zhang Liao

There are some others but i kinda forgotten their names..........

I agree on Ranmaru and Zhou Yun... but Orochi???! Come on... I was expecting so much more from KOEI... and I can't believe how many people who actually have troubles with that guy...
His movesets is to stationed, his attacks crashes with elemental attributes and he occasionally miss (quite often)

Tadakatsu is annoying as his power type + defence works against him... same goes for Lu Bu and Orochi.

Zuo Ci is pretty good, but lame compared to his DW5 might.

Guan Yu is not my favourite, neither do I find him the best. But I've actually posted a thread like this before... about Guan Yu that is...

But Warriors Orochi is highly overrated... weak characters turn good, strongest characters turn lame and the basic DW odd-ball crew turns people down.

I hope Shin Orochi will be more of a challenge

(pssst: Try Guan Yu, Yue Ying and Guan Ping together... their musou is so amusing... )

Orochi I agree was very poor - his moveset was very all over the place. Lu Bu was absolutely terrible! because of the weapon fusion thing and yeah Tadekatsu does struggle on harder difficulties although out of those 3 I would put him top, but much below most other people

It was quite nice to have some originally weaker characters being so much better in WO but it does need to be more balanced Hopefully WO2 will improve that factor

Yes, i don't like Orochi cuz his combo is to quick.

I don't really like Orochi and that's quite a problem to use him. Same as Lu Bu, he isn't as strong as in DW. But that's a good thing, because in DW he's absolutely strong and that's unfair to other character.

Yup Lu Bu I find much worse in WO - pretty awful in fact, there aren't many characters who I would put below him in this game. He was good in DW5, perhaps as yuo a bit overpowered so it's good to see him as a weakling

Guan Yu vs Ling Tong,or any speedy person

They Kill Guan Yu without him knowing in a split second.

Obvoiusly Guan Yu has advantages.

1. Red Hare, stolen from Lu Bu
2.A son with a massive sword (Guan Ping)
3.He has a pointy hat in 5...stab stab stab stab stab!!

Still, any speedy person wins.

Guan Yu bores me look wise and personality wise. Oh and his moveset is boring too.

very well done akashi, you put it the best way possible, Guan Yu is definatly boring, well too boring tobh, I dont like him at all, one of the worst characters in dw.
