Im curious as to how the animation feature actually works. Anybody able to shed any light on the subject?

You hold down the L2 and R2 buttons and use the stick to control the arms Facial features are controlled via the D-Pad. Finally head and hip movement is controlled through the six-axis. It would take a bit of work to control them all simultaniously like that. But managable.

Anyone know how to get the mouth to move? I know the D-pad changes emotions, but what controls the mouth movements that makes it look like he's talking?

I was going to ask that too - I jumped onto the assumption that it could be headset related, and that any spoken words are mouthed out by sackboy and sackgirl avatars.
