Hi - Ok, so great graphics and customiseable options... as well as the level editor mode and online abilities.... but I still need some advice as to what is making people rave so much about this game?
Surely at the end of the day is a glorified 2D platform game? I remember 'Shoot-em-up construction kit' for the C64 20 years ago! yeah, it was good.. but making your own level got tiresome and the game soon became untouched. I'm not knocking LBP, I just want some players to tell me what makes this game 'the must buy game of the year' when it just looks like a bespoke 2D platform game? Thanks | |

It's not out of this world unless you make it that way.
The game is great and if you're creative enough then you'll make the game much more fun that it is. if you don't want to go by what others say, rent the game. That's the only way you'll see or understand what everyone that has the game says. Try it and if you like it then buy it. No one really needs to sell or advertise the game. ------------------- I'M A SPEEDBALLER.

I'm not meaning to lash out at you in person here, but I'm sick of people asking others to "sell" LittleBigPlanet too them.
At the end of the day, if you like the look of it, buy it, if you don't, don't. If you can't see the appeal, then that's that. If people are raving about this game, then take it as a sign that this game is awesome, as, quite frankly, it is. -------------------  | |

I think it's a very good game, but the concept is better than the product itself. I don't think it's worth the 95 score given on Metacritic.
The online aspect really needs better moderation - there needs to be a way of filtering out the crap 'trophy levels' to ensure the decent levels which have lots of hard work behind them are more accessible. It also needs to be easier to join levels that other gamers are playing, maybe by creating some sort of 'match room' whereby you get a group of 4 gamers together and then play a level, as opposed to joining a level and praying that other people do the same! I've wasted far too much time hanging about and switching between levels trying to find people to play with. | |

Well i'm getting my copy for a massive £9.99 so i'm happy. Even though i wasnt all that keen on the game at first, i was so tempted by this price that i'm going to get it to see what all the fuss is about
 Cant see myself spending hours creating levels though which might be a bit of a problem really I recently did think it was quite a young game and i thought it was the most pointless game in history, where you would spend hours making a level, and then start to jump and run around on it, and that was it Now, i realise that the prospect of having a completely new challenge every level you play on is rather decent Maybe rent it to see what its like? -------------------  ~ Fit to Burn ~ | |

I got mine fairly cheap cos I swapped PES 09 for it, and used up some loyalty points, so it only came to bout £3. I think I'll keep it for a while, but if the online aspect doesn;t become better moderated I'll trade it in. It's a game that I think definately needs to be experienced, but I'm unsure yet as to whether its a keeper

its just a beast game get it. the story is really good, and to make levels you dont need that much creativity but you need ideas and motivation to do stuff.
