I stuck going through a gate after the Damocles Door in St Francis Folly in Greece. I've pulled the block out from above the gate, and lined it up to the gate, the pull the switch, jump on the block, then the gate, but then the gate drops with Lara's weight. I can't get her to jump quickly from the gate to the hole, and she can't reach from the block. Any ideas pleas? I am getting very frustrated by this. Thanks

Just before the gate is closing you hear three 'clicks'. Jump immediately after hearing the 3rd click, and you should make it to the ledge. I've never been to the Damocles room yet, but the other rooms in that area all have a similar mechanism.

The 3 clicks method should work. Failing that you can push the block you pulled down underneath the gate as it opens, and wedge it open, then jump up from there.
The 3 click method will work on Atlas,Poseidon & Damocles. Beware the other one - I shall leave you to find out why .
Also I recommend you save after each area, as I found that it jammed after I did all 4 areas in one go. I lost the whole lot & had to start again .

That'll only help once, though. You might as well get used to timing that jump on those dropping levers, as there will be many many more to contend with.

I'm in the same door but i need help on something else. After going thru the rows of spikes with the red and white squares what do i do? I was so frustrated that i checked a walkthrough and it said that i need to climb the broken pillar (which i did) but then it tells me to jump to a crevice on the wall. I don't see a crevice anywhere.

This is a little tricky.

Here is what I did after a lot of tries:

Simply do not push the block under the gate. Instead keep it very close to the gate. Pull the level the gate open. Quickly climb the block as the gate opens and when u see that the gate ledge reaches suitable height quickly jump. Lara will grab the gate ledge. Once she does quicly make another jump as the gate falls down. Thats it. I did it after 2 tries =). Good Luck
