FFS! (T-rex - please help!) |
|
OK so I'm no more than what, an hour into the game, and already I just don't want to play any more. T-rex is too sodding hard. I can't do those adrenaline rolls, and no matter where I look on the internet the best answer I can get seems to be "you just press the circle button, and if you can't do it you're a dumbass".
Plain english explanation of why the *bleep* I can't pull off this move... EVER... would be much appreciated. If I can't do this within the next day or so I think I'll just snap the disc. Sounds infinitely more satisfying. ------------------- Skabnoze Dark Lord of Children's Education

skabnoze, the dodge works when you push the circle button and hold it,then push one of the direction buttons, left or right or back only while holding the circle button, then it will ask for pushing the r1 button, but only push the r1 button after it asks and don't hold the circle during the r1 move, push it and I think you should be ok.thank you,Chris

Ok to perform a adrenline dodge you have to wait until the direction arrows and circle appear on the lower right. Once it appears move to left or right direction on the left analog stick while hold circle down. Then the two circles will aim at the T-Rex's head or face then it will turn red and have a beeping sound. When you press R1 you will shoot him in the face and end up hurting the T-Rex

Cheers guys I'll give that a go. I think I might have been going wrong by only tapping the circle button not holding it down. Useless manual says just to tap it...

I only tapped the circle button. Maybe I didn't know I was also moving the joystick at the time. The hardest part was waiting until the two circles overlapped and turned red before shooting. It didn't work every time, but enough that the game was enjoyable. Maybe on hard mode I will need to improve my technique.

I finally killed the T-Rex without using the adrenaline rolls. If you get back in the corners beside the log barricades, you can come out just far enough to shoot the t-rex several times.
He will maneuver around enough to get at you after a few shots, but then you jump out and run into a different corner, and continue shooting. Just stay back in the corner as much as possible while still able to hit him. It doesn't take very long if you can move to new side quickly without too much damage. Watch your lifeline. You will have to use the adrenaline rolls later on to kill the Centaurs though (nothing to hide behind while you shoot them), so it's good to practice that.
