John David Booty: The Journey to re store glory

I too will be starting a Diary on this forum as well. I only Have 05 sadly. Tomorrow however, I'll be renting 09 to get the updated roster, and will continue the story on 05 franchise mode. I'll leave some room for speculation. This will be more focused on one player, rather then just a general team one. The player I have chosen will not be on his In real life team, as I hate them, he will be re drafted. All news articles from the game will be posted, as well as fictional press conferences, interviews, and newspaper clippings.

Side note Hardy, don't reveal who it is. I'd kill you tbh

Also, I won't be getting 09 for a little bit. i figure I might be able to stretch everything out to when the first pre season game begins, I'll have 09. Any questions will be answered.

The very First Entry will be the final Game of my Players College season.

2005? Nice. Looking forward to it. I have a pretty good idea on what team it is going to be too.

SPIKEdit. I know who you are talking about, and your somewhat close, but still wrong none the less.

Sadily, Because I was an idiot, I wasn't writting down all the stuff I should have been about my character during each drive. It'll be posted soon, and It'll be very different then a normal one would be. Unless it's liked.

re: John David Booty: The Journey to re store glory

Still Aren't Quite Sure on the Mysterey athlete? Welp, This will make it plain and Clear.

2008 Citi Bank Rose Bowl

Illinois Fighting Illini Va. USC Trojans

Brad: Good Afternoon everybody. I'm Brad Nesler, with my Partner in crime, Kirk Herbstreit. Folks, we are going to have an extremely exciting battle here today at Pasadena, for the Rose Bowl. Sponsered by Citi Bank.

Brad: This is going to be an offensive battle. Mainly because of the 2 surgeon generals, of their respective teams. Lets start, with the favored team, and their all star leader. John David booty.

Kirk: Whenever you even hear USC, you automatically think of some of the greatest young athletes. He holds that tradition proudly. He has so many intangibles that work in favor of him. He has great touch. He can throw a bullet, he can throw a floater, he can put the ball just about anywhere on the field. He makes throws other quarterbacks wouldn't even think about.

Brad: He is probably the best scrambling pocket quarterback in college football today. You won't see him tucking it and going for the first many times, but he doesn't loose any accuracy when he is on the moves. The entire defense will have to tailor their defense to his abilities, if they want to stay in contention for the rose bowl.

Kirk: Now on to the other bench. We have the starting sophomore quarter back. Juice Williams. Already this early in his career, he makes such great reads on the defense. And if he feels the pressure, he could very easily get the first with his legs, rather then his arms. The scary thing is, he is getting better every time he gets under center.

Brad: He is one of the most agile quarterbacks in the game today. This will be a huge test for the young quarterback. The biggest game of his career so far. Will he be able to handle the pressure, or will he fall like so many others have fallen to USC here at Pasadena. Well we are going to find out very soon.

Kirk: This is going to be a close battle. USC can very easily score on you, score fast, and score often, to get big leads, in a hurry. However, Illinois is one of the best comeback teams in the nation. We'll see who can branch out, and grab a victory here.

Brad: Oh so true. This one will be close, But I think USC has too many weapons for them to loose here today.

Kirk: I agree. My prediction on the final score. 28-17, with USC getting the win.

Brad: Lets see just how right you are. Lets send it down to the field, where kickoff is about to begin, right after this.

*cuts to commercial*

Kirk: Welcome back, and it is football time right here, right now. USC won the toss, and chose to differ till the second Half.

Brad: This will be a key drive for both teams. Illinois is looking to jump ahead, and get a quick score, while the USC defense will look to contain them.

Key Plays:

USC: 56 yard touchdown pass from John David Booty to Vidal Hazelton (2:40 left in 1st Quarter)

USC: Sedrick Ellis Causes Eddie McGee to fumble. Rey Maualuga Recovers. (4:56 left in 2nd Quarter)

USC: 14 yard Pass Completion from John David booty to Fred Davis to Convert on Fourth and 1. (4:10 left in 2nd quarter)

USC: 1 yard power run by Marshall Jones for the touchdown. (1:20 left in the 2nd Quarter)

USC:
David Buehler Makes a 43 yard Field Goal (End of 2nd Quarter)

Brad:
And We are at Half Time folks. Our score so far. USC with 24 points after the last second Field goal. Illinois, the big goose egg, 0.

Brad: So, lets go over this game so far

Kirk: We have to start with the USC Offense. Everything Has been going their way. The playmakers have done their jobs, and the defense has been playing to conservatively. If Illinois doesn't force some turnovers in the next Half, it'll be impossible for them to win. Everything for their defense has gone wrong.

Brad: And as for Illinois offense, and USC's d.?

Kirk: This is by far the best I have seen USC's defense this year. They forced a fumble early on. They have been putting enormous pressure on Juice Williams, and it has show, 5 hurries, 1 sack. If they can keep forcing them to long third down situations in the next 30 minutes, USC will be driving back with a huge win. The one thing they need to improve on is quarterback containment. Juice Williams scrambling around out there is the reason why the score is not higher then it is. Whatever they do, they need to stop him.

Brad: well, we'll see if they follow your advice, and if it works, because the third quarter of play will begin in just a minute. Stay with us.

Key Plays:

USC: John David booty throws a 9 yard completion to Fred Davis for a touchdown. (2:36 remaining in the 3rd Quarter)

Fighting Illini: Marques Wilkins Forces Vincent Joseph to fumble. Recovered By Xavier Fulton (0:18 left in the 3rd Quarter)

Fighting Illini: Juice Williams Throws a 79 yard touchdown reception to Kyle Hudson (0:08 remaining in 3rd Quarter

Fighting Illini: 2 point conversion is good.

Fighting Illini: Derek Walker Sacks John David booty, and forces a fumble. Chris Norwell recovers (0:01 remaining in 3rd Quarter)

Fighting Illini
: Juice Williams Throws a 17 yard touchdown reception to Jeff Cumberland (4:55 left in 4th quarter)

USC: C.J. Gable Sacks Juice Williams. The 2 point conversion failed.

Fighting Illini: Vontae Davis Intercepts John David booty: (4:48 left in the 4th Quarter)

Fighting Illini: Rashard Mendenhall scores with a 2 yard touchdown dash. (2:20 left in the 4th Quarter)

USC: John David booty Throws a 65 Yard touchdown pass too Patrick Turner (2:09 left in 4th quarter)

Fighting Illini: Juice Williams Throws a 44 Yard pass completion to Arrelious Benn. (1:46 remaining in 4th quarter)

USC: Chauncey Washington Gets his first touchdown of the game with a 24 yard run. (1:25 remaining in the 4th Quarter)

USC: Carey Harris Intercepts Juice Williams for the first time tonight.

Penalties:

Fighting Illini: Holding on Ryan McDonald. Brings 1&20 at own 19. (4:48 left in First Quarter)

USC: Trojans: Clipping on Kaluka Maiava. Brings Ball back from a touchdown punt return, to their own 24 yard line. (1:16 left in the 3rd Quarter)

3 and Outs:

Fighting Illini : 3

Kirk: We now take you live to a USC conference, where player of the Game John David Booty is fielding questions.

Press:
What was the best Play for you and your offense, during the game?

Booty:
I'd have to say it would be the first touchdown throw. It got our adrenaline pumping even more, and set the tempo for the entire first half, and most of the third quarter.

Press: Where did you feel your team as a whole started to slip, and why?

Booty:
I think it happened during halftime. Our whole team, including myself got way too cocky. I think that led to our downfall. Our next huge mistake was late in the third quarter. We fumbled the ball on offense, and just gave it to Juice Williams, and then he threw the bomb all the way down the field for their first touchdown, and to make it worse, they got a 2 point conversion.

Press: What did your team learn from this

Booty: I think that we all learned never to under estimate our opponent, no matter how big we have the lead. Anything can happen in college football, especially with a team like Illinois. We also learned that we should never gave up. When we were only up by 3 points, we where all a little bit spooked. But we all rallied together, and pulled off a great finish to a great game.

Press:
What was it like when you saw Carey Harris make the interception, that ended the game for your team

Booty: Everybody on the team was ecstatic. We where on top of the world at that moment. Nothing could have brought us down at that point.

Press: And Finally, Now that your college career is over, where do you plan on going in the NFL.

Booty: I have my eyes set on 2 schools in particular. I'm very interested in what they have to offer to me. We'll see very soon in the nearby future though. This press conference is over.

Update: I might be able to get a special video camera made for filming things like something on a computer, or a TV. If that is the case, I might be able to just film the games, and edit out the unimportant pieces. I'll keep ya posted.

re: John David Booty: The Journey to re store glory

After partying with his friends and team mates after the amazing win over Illinois, booty woke up to notice a very important e-mail from his agent. It went as follows.

"Yo, it's your agent, Tony Vitoro, not even an hour after the game, did I get bombarded with e-mails from scouts, coaches, and managers asking for your phone number! You already have 5 teams who are majorly considering you. You've got Denver, Jacksonville, Minnesota, Tampa Bay, and your home town team of the Saints. You might want to think about your next move man."

He read this in awe, not even believing what he was reading. This is just the beginning of 08, and the draft wasn't for another almost 5 months. He really would have to be thinking, of anything he does.
