Let me start by saying I have been a Madden Fan for ages now, and have played it since 03' a LARGE amount. In University I lived on Madden 04, 05, and 06, not to say I'm any good, I just love it. Specifically on the PS consol.

Anyways, to my point. I bought PS3 last December basically to play Madden and a bit of NBA, NHL, Fifa, whatever else. Since then i've adverted back to playing PS2 Madden because of how dissapointed I was with 08 for PS3. I can't put my finger on what it is about the game, but it feels incredibly unrealistic, impossible to control how you want, and is increasingly difficult to do the things that seemed so simple on PS2. A primary example of this is holding on to the football. Since when did guys drop the ball 1 every 9 carries? I'm sure this has been voiced before, but tell me, is this realistic? Another thing, throwing the ball is virtually IMPOSSIBLE on ALL-MADDEN in PS3. Not only do you have zero time to get the ball off your guys are either covered, not looking at the ball, or dont "go up and get it" like they would in PS2.

I don't want to go on and on and on about how disgusted I am with PS3 Madden because quite frankly im sure 90% have either voiced these same concerns or have "dealt with it" when playing. I dislike it very much, and thus I will be playing Madden 08 on my inferior PS2 until Madden 2009 decides to be released in August. Even then, they better get their act together.

The fumbles were stupid. It happened so often, I just stopped running the football, I mean if you got to the 2000 mark and have had 2 fumbles all season, good on you, but I haven't had the same luck. Or maybe, running with Marion Barber is the problem? Regardless, nobody puts the ball on the ground 4 times in a half of football.

Don't you find the gameplay sloppy? If im going to send a WR on a fly route and throw it up there for him to get, its brutal. I'm thinking it's just the kinks of getting the game out there, 2009 should be better. I see no reason why it should be this way for another season.

uhm ok? isn't football a collision sport? therefore, i don't want him touched, i want him on the ground...

i have no idea what u mean by brutal. compare the nfl to the nba and the entire league is brutal. nba is sissies. but it's a completely different sport.

and it all depends on what u do. let's see...i move randy moss to slot wr, play action, moss on a fly route....wow. wide open. never touched. 80 yd td. brutal...i guess.

the fact that there's a game coming out in.... 2 months? i'd say your mentally *bleep*ed if your gonna complain about madden 08 when madden 09 is out. just like someone complaining about '04. yea, who cares? it's 4 years old....almost 5.

and gameplay sloppy? i don't, but maybe that's just bc of my team. i mean if u have Will Smith, Tommie Harris, Vince Wilfork, Luis Castillo, Demeco Ryans, Lito Sheppard, Champ Bailey, DeAngelo Hall, Bob Sanders, Chris Hope....and ur averaging about 2 sacks a game, 3 ints...no. don't find it sloppy one bit. i'd be scared as hell if i was facing that defense. like facing the colts offense or patriots. SCARY.

Easy champ, do you have to get all personal? Is there really any reason I need to drop a comment on a forum and get hasseled by some douche behind a computer? I'm asking a pretty simple question, and I'm looking for a pretty simple answer. anyways,

I'm not talking about contact with the players. Clearly I expect contact. I'm talking about how the WR approaches the ball, he doesn't jump back to the ball and fight for it, it's just a generic jump. Thats how I see it anyways.

In terms of sloppy, I'm commenting on the overall gameplay. The way guys run, the moves they make, when a guy tackels someone, it all just looks choppy. Maybe it's because I'm not use to it, but it all seems rather bush-league to me. I dont think the players you have on your team have anything to do with it. I dont care about players, sacks, or interceptions. I care about how the game looks, controls, and feels.
